First Electrolysis Sesson

Finally, the day came. My first Electrolysis session. The place I visited is in Indiana, and I paid $198 for two hours. Yes, that's expensive but from what she told me, it's so worth it. My Laser sessions cost $100 (but regular price is $200) and they covered my entire face.. just I had to start shaving again in a day or two. Electrolysis only was able to get most of my chin.. but that part of my chin should remain hair-free now.

I've had four Laser Hair Removal sessions and the following days/weeks I'd continue to shave. After a couple sessions I noticed the upper lip shadow fading. Now when I save, that's not really there. I'll still notice it but I'm looking for it. Before Laser, it was much darker. Laser helped.. but wasn't helping enough.

That was something I told my electrolysis guide. I asked how long until I have to shave the treated areas and how long should I wait until I can shave. I'm thinking it will slowly grow back like Laser. Nope! She told me the treated areas with electrolysis should now be hair-free; which was most of my chin.

She wasn't able to get a lot of coverage but most of my chin is done. For $198.. ouch.

She told me it's usually suggested NOT getting Laser Hair Removal on the face first - which we all know isn't permanent but 'reduction' - as it can sometimes cause hairs to grow - but Laser works best on the body versus face prior to electrolysis. Luckily that hasn't happened to me but I had no idea that was possible.

The worst part is the 3 days of not shaving before my session. Which is where my Laser helped (little regrowth overall) and because of that, I was dealing with a lot of depression.

This place offers two methods of electrolysis. One was pretty quick but hurt at times. The other was much slower but didn't hurt whatsoever. I literally started day-dreaming because it was just relaxing! And I was sleepy.. lol, but still! The times it did hurt, felt kind of like getting a tattoo but only hurt for a few seconds at a time.

I just wanted to talk about my experience.

I am going a similar route. Laser first to get most of it, then electrolysis. I will probably do about 7 sessions on the face for laser before switching over. That is what my technician suggested would get rid of most of it. I have a few light hairs to mop up with electrolysis. My hairs are dark on light skin, so that helps.

Fancy that, I just came back from my first session too.

I actually did 15 sessions of laser first. It got rid of most of my hair, but my T levels are still not under control, so some times it comes back. I don't regre5 laser for a second though.

I managed to find a semi local woman for $65 an hour. She's trans as well, so we had a really nice chat. Old soul... like someone you've known all your life :)

Anyway, congrats on getting zapped :D

I'm glad you're happy with the results. It does make a big difference in our appearance and emotional state I've found. The best part is getting rid of the shadow. Of course your results may vary, but be aware that some hairs zapped during electrolysis may grow back depending upon what stage of growth it was in. It is the only permanent hair removal method but it may take some time to kill the root.

Cheers,

Isn't it fun!

My last session was a couple of days ago, and it hurt like @#%$ My lady told me it was necessary to turn up the juice to 29 (whatever that means) which turns out is the highest setting on her machine. I swear I flopped around on her table like a fish. The hairs on my face are deep, and big around (okay I'm hearing laughter, minds out of the gutter girls), and resistant to the electrical jolt. Plus she uses an electrolysis probe to match the diameter of of the hair, and she was having to use the largest one they make for electrolysis. Gosh that was so much fun :hairpull: Hmm, there was a time I would have bragged about having something that was big around, and.....well you know. Now I dream of tiny and easily electrocuted.

It is such a slow, tedious process to rid ourselves of these little spikes of maleness. And from what my electrologist tells me she is so happy to have me as her customer......it's her retirement! :banghead:

:hairpull: I see this little guy and feel the pain. Pity we just can't pull the stuff and have it gone. When i hear all these stories i feel kinda blessed. I do have those horrible spikes of maleness but they are fairly thin and sparser now that i've been on HRT for some time. They also are very light in color so even with more than a days growth they don't show up without cross lighting. So far i'm planing to continue shaving. Don't like it but it certainly seems better than spending the farm and being in hours of pain. That's just me. I certainly understand the need others feel.

Hugs,

Charlize

Thanks for that little tidbit on cost I had no clue how much electrosys runs for I plan on doing it for my face, back, chest to start but I also have to save for a hair transplant so kinda torn I hope to finally have a job soon so I can at least pay for electrosys i could just wear wigs till those 3 areas are done. Odds are Ill be on hrt before I can start my sessions I hope it reduces the amount of times ill need. My back only has 4 spots and there small from what ive heard theres a chance at least for that area hrt alone will clear it.

MarcieMarie12 - My hairs are the same. I'm pale with dark hair. HRT is something I hope to start in the coming months. I'm excited to see how that plays out!

Rylie M - The place I visited gave me a price guide before I even started. They offer different services but for electrolysis, it starts at $35 for 15 minutes and goes up to $98 for 60 minutes. I hope you can find a job soon too, it makes things much easier and I give you lots of love and wish you the best!

Charlize - That was a perfect emoticon to use, :hairpull: lol.

LesleyAnne - You're too funny. :P It does hurt but not any more than getting a tattoo.

Jani423 - It does! It obviously helps change appearance but helps me even more emotionally. Just another step up the stairway to personal happiness and freedom!

Kaylee - Thanks! And I don't regret it either, because it does help.. and anything that helps will be worth it.

Rylie, I don't know where you are in MA but my electrologist in NH charges $58/hr with a good discount when you pay for a block of sessions up front. PM me if you're interested.

Cheers,

Thats awesome that it went so well! I just went for my first appointment too, though I havent had any laser previous so the hair will take a few treatments to remove I am told. Thankfully for the large part I am not too hairy to start with! Keep the updates coming as to how it is working out for you!

So after a few sessions I am loving the whole Electrolysis thing. In fairness, having the nipple areas done hurt quite a bit, but the results to date are making me much happier!

Have it booked as a weekly thing, makes every week a little closer to where I want to be !!

Hello

I am up to 88 hours of electrolysis on the face, laser was not really factor as I had very little hair that was dark enough.I will say it has made a world of difference as the hairs that do grow back are becoming very sparse.

It does seem the longer I am on HRT (18 months) the more it hurts, when I started I did not use Emla or anything and it hurt but was tolerable, but now no matter how much emla it still hurts to the point that I almost said enough.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck

I think there is some truth in this.  They intend to implement Project 2025, whether or not he spends his energies persecuting the Democrats who have been persecuting him (in his view, a debatable point) and does nothing else.   I have seen numerous accusations that the document is about "Trumpism", whatever that is, and is merely a vehicle for him to become dictator.  From what I have read so far, that is the same sort of truth as the Steele Dossier, denying the validity of a certain laptop, Schiff's non-existence evidence of collaboration and a host of other things, many directly from Biden, that are simply not true.   I will continue reading it.

      Who, precisely, are "they"?

Wife of mine pointed out that not getting a haircut for a month looks hideous - weird bald patches.  So back to super- short buzz cut.  This morning I braced, looking in the mirror.  I look like a woman trying to pass as a a guy, maybe  a small-breasted woman with enough T treatment to grow a mustache.    I would not believe me if I read what I write about me.  This is nuts.   White t-shirt: that they sell in the back of WM so you can tie-dye them or otherwise decorate them. They are thick and long lasting and slightly fitted, so that they could be a man's.  I like them.   Jeans, flip flops.   I will no longer point out these are women's.  What else would I wear?

That is all that is necessary. I did the same thing. I must have gotten something wrong.

Quite right mate! I have been letting my hair grow out again (I cut it all off when I was 18).    I'll never look this good:    But I'll aspire to look my best! ☺️
