Testosterone left in syringe after injection?

So I started T 2 weeks ago. I have done 3 shots and two of them I did on my own. When I got my shot done w/ assistance of a nurse at the Mazzoni Center I was too overwhelmed to pay attention fully LOL. But I noticed both times I have done it on my own, after I take the needle out of my skin there is still a tiny amount of T left in the syringe! Is that supposed to happen or am I not pressing hard/long enough to get all of it out? Will this affect me badly if so?

You need to press the plunger on the syringe all the way until it "bottoms out". Any injectable medication is delivered in "units" which are the marks on the side of the syringe, and the doctor wants that amount of medication to go into you. If you do not inject the whole thing, nothing of a catastrophic nature will really occur, but the full dose is best to get in you until the doctor changes the dosage up or down. It does take a while to determine the best level for you, so let the doctor know you were low a couple of times, and push that plunger in ALL THE WAY. You will feel it hit the bottom of the syringe.

PS: I have four injections per day for my diabetes, it does take a bit of experience to get used to the injections even there.

Hi, I get what you are saying. Even though the plunger goes all the way to the bottom, there is still a droplet left at the very tip of the syringe when you remove the needle. It bothered me at first because I didnt want any to go to waste, but I soon gave up trying to save the little bit.

T being in a relatively thick oily substance clings to the side of the syringe even after injection and then is left in a small amount at the bottom. You'll see the same thing in the bottle after you've gotten your last shot from it. I've seen several discussions but no solution. Some guys warm the bottle under their arm to heat the oil and make it less clinging but I doubt it is worth the effort. The loss is factored into your shots as long as you are depressing the plunger fully. Don't force it or you can cause more needle trauma which is cumulative and over time can make shots more painful
