My first birthday party!

I recently celebrated my 60th birthday. I had a party at my home with family and friends, none of whom know who Ashleigh is. It was a good time of fun, food, and fellowship.

The next night I was scheduled to go out of town on a business trip. As is my routine, I always stay at a hotel near the airport to avoid traffic in the morning. This particular hotel is located very close to a trans-friendly restaurant/bar that I had been to before. I had made arrangements (thanks again Marcie) to meet with some other ladies there for dinner, drinks, and karaoke. We had a fantastic time! I was able, for the first time in my life, to celebrate my birthday, in public, fully dressed! There were 6 of us at the table laughing, talking, and enjoying each other's company like it was the most natural thing in the world. Best. Birthday. Celebration. Ever! I even had an admirer buy me a glass of wine ? I wish every birthday was like that one.

Fantastic fun way to get a bit older. Who said 60 was old. We're just kids finding the joy of being ourselves!
