I give her credit on trying, maybe some will listen to her there, however results will speak for themselves...

At least she acknowledges it's not about her, but the most vulnerable of our society and young people, they have a much higher stake in things.

The dems and Obama get high marks on trans rights, and have come through where we've needed it the most in recent times.

Yes, they're good remarks. Too bad nobody in the convention hall will hear them, or pay them any mind. Not any more than they will pay attention to the Republican billionaire who will proclaim in his 5 minute speech tonight that he is proudly gay. The crowd will cheer (they like their billionaires) and then quickly forget what he said about inclusion and restrooms and equal rights. Anyway, the country won't hear it because he is on in the not-ready-for-primetime spot.

I admire her courage but she should have read more info about being Transsexual and what transition entails from other transsexuals. Sometime she just seems so arrogant that the only one who knows anything about us is her. There's too many sites out there with experienced people not to realized that our movement itself is political as well as supportive.. People can choose which party to be loyal too but they oughta check how its people really feel about us. The two parties are as opposite as night and day. You just can't be a single cat in a room full of Dobermans and try to convince them that they are all wrong.. The Doberman's are too tired having sat on there thumbs doing nothing like they did in Congress all year I wish her well. The convention was the first time this year they actually stood up. They are worried about poor people doing nothing when all they can do is go to lunch on our dime. They did nothing all year and got paid for it. What's worse is that they will be re-elected. Again and again.

Conversion Therapy is illegal in a therapy or Psychiatrists office. The profession says it is NOT helpful or productive. An Exodus preacher to convert gays told a gay man that "He would be better off dead than to be offending God." He committed suicide a few years ago.

Laura, I tend to agree with you. ...A cat in a room full of dobermans is a very difficult proposition. You'll eventually get eaten. Unfortunately due to her celebrity status, she's one of the faces of transgender for the general population - most people out there. They don't read sites like this. They don't read books like "My Husband Betty" or "Becoming A Visible Man" etc. They see Caityn Jenner and project and assume. I think she's really wasting her time there.

My friends coming back from Austin Drag Convention ran into her at the airport getting booed and jeered. She was delighted they asked for her autograph. You would think she would get it. Next time you get bad comments, you might try " yes but, I'm a Republican just like Caitlan" and see if that makes the like you!
