Well, I guess to start off I'm a 28 year old male living in northern Indiana.  I've been into women's clothing since I was 5, so a long time.  Always thought I was weird and a freak for a long time, still do kinda.  Don't have anyone I can talk to about this stuff.  My wife knows about it, but is quite tomboyish herself, so yeah.  Dressing feminine isn't something she knows a whole lot about/cares to know.  I've always limited myself to clothes, mostly panties, bra, and a dress.  I have some jackets as well, but they aren't "too feminine" and I wear them all winter when out and about, so nothing wrong there, just wish I could wear the color I really want.  I've always considered myself a crossdresser, mostly cause I have no desire to live female 100% or do altercations to my body.  I don't look at it as a sexual thing either as I'm sitting here wearing a stuffed bra and panties already.  I just feel more comfortable I guess.  It's something I've never really understood.  I love the idea of dressing 100%, but again, I don't know.  I've never done it before, let alone have anyone that I trust and can talk to about this that would be willing to help.  I'd love to try it out for a little bit, but it's something again, I don't have anyone to help guide me or even the time to do it.  Just kinda looking for comfort in who I am.  Was recommended to me by a therapist that I talked to that I try talking to people on here.  Guess I'm not sure what talking can do about it.

As long as wife is OK with it and and your keeping her happy don't worry about it. Some couples are into far stranger things than playing with clothes. I bought clothes off the women's rack and swapped clothes with my wife for years. I think they see it as a sign that they have domesticated us! If you and wife want to meet others, exchange notes and make new friends, most cities have groups or drag shows where coming crossdressed is common, you can meet others and have a good time.

I'm not brave enough to attend an kind of event.  It's hard enough to come out as it is, not sure I could go somewhere where there's lots of others.  I don't do good in crowds.  That's part of my problem with finding out this kind of stuff.  Even if I could find an event near me, I doubt I could brave it up and attend.

Hi Pink Moon,

I'm glad to meet you. Clair had a good suggestion about finding a local cross dresser's group. You can meet others and get some tips from them. By making friends with them, you could also find a mentor, someone who could go with you your first time out in dress, teach you how to pass well enough to do so safely, makeup tips, appearal help,etc...  We also have a cross dresser forum hear you may like and find helpful. Good luck! Welcome to Laura's!

Lots of love,

Timber Wolf has come up with the idea I was going to suggest. and that is a CD support and social group.  They are not "large crowds" by and large and often have members who show up in male mode.  Others will have facilities where you can arrive male, change to female mode, do the meeting, and change back all on site.

As far as being here and talking to us, the benefit is that here it is regular everyday stuff to talk about.  It is nothing to be ashamed of and your opinions are as valid as the next person's.  (Limited exceptions in regard to harmful activity)  We are used to the things you are going through, and to us it is everyday stuff <I don't want to use the word "normal"> and we do not giggle and blush about it much.  We are just YOUR PEOPLE!!

Welcome and please join into the conversation.  We are all here to learn and help each other, and maybe have a little fun.

As far as going out dressed in public I offer this; the first time is shear terror but after that it gets real easy real fast.  Most people are too enthralled in their own lives to even notice you.  You may be hyper vigilant but how many people do you really pay attention to when you're out and about?  Probably not many.   Find a local group and enjoy yourself.

Welcome to Laura's.  You've already found that your not alone.  Spend some time reading and sharing.  It is difficult to make many steps but as we do we often discover whether the destination is where we actually want to go or simply a place to visit from time to time.  There isn't any necessary destination. No levels.   We all find our own place and doing that can be a lifetime pursuit so perhaps the most important thing is to enjoy the journey.

Hugs,

Charlize

I must agree going out in public first time can be scary. But once you do it will get more easy, I go dressed up as a women 90 per cent of the time and I don't think any one  even notices me.

My wife made me jump of the deep end and I have not looked back. As a whole new world has opened up for me.

"Exstatic" is an adjective that means feeling great rapture or delight. For example, "His wife gave birth to their first child, and he was ecstatic about it". Synonyms of "ecstatic" include rapturous, entranced, enthusiastic, and frenzied.

Absolutely. Being able to encourage, to help, others is so empowering. I've been helped by so many people over the years, I love being able to pay it forward.

Good morning, everyone!!   A busy day ahead for me - need to cut the grass and then pick up the clippings. The grass grows so quickly this time of year. I cut almost 7 acres so that will take up most of my day. At least I can get some sun on my legs and arms!!   Time for another cup of coffee as I catch up here.   Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given.

I started shaving my legs years ago - I started getting an occasional mild contact rash on my shins. That became my excuse to shave them for both me and my wife. Over time, the rash didn't expand...but my shaving did. Full legs....groin......chest......and finally my arms. Keeping the rash at bay was my excuse until I came out to my wife. Now I typically do a full shave on Sunday mornings. The hair is lighter but I just feel better with it gone - it helps with the dysphoria and dysmorphia. I will also typically do a chest touch-up mid week since I notice the growth more there.   I wish someone would invent a pill that would stop hair growth everywhere except on your head.

Good morning.   im not sure where the time went.  I had a decent nights sleep,  didn’t  tell Alexa to let me sleep another 5 minutes,  I didn’t do anything extra but it’s almost time to leave and I just got here.  Definitely only a one cup morning.    I have the overhead console out of the Ford. It needed some repairs with toothpicks and glue.  Been sitting all night t for the glue to harden. I’m always to impatient with glue but not this time.  I want it to hold. Ok the next owner won’t be able to change the lightbulbs however in my defense, the are led so they will likely still work when the car goes to the salvage yard.   gotta go. Not as much on my plate at work today but it’s always busy.   Willow

Yes, my programmer friends and I think that antivirus software is a virus.  It's constantly searching your system and slowing it down.  If you install your own OS and software on your machine, and you make backups of your personal files, then you can recover from viruses in an hour or two.  My computer is 10+ years old and is working as good as the first day I had it.   As long as my computer is doing what I want it to do, I don't care if someone is spying on my system.

If you get a ticket, always say not guilty and go to court. Much of the time, the officer will not show up, and often the district attorney or the judge will not want to take the time. They ticket harvest because most people just agree to the fine and send them a check by mail.   If you are not a commercial driver, Most states also have a ticket forgiveness program. You take a little easy Driver's Ed Course, and it doesn't go on your record or increase your insurance prices. Explore your options!
