I am beginning to wonder if something and or someone does not want me having this surgery.  My previous surgeon, after working with him for almost a year setting everything up and getting prepared, I find out in the end that he does not accept my insurance, why didn't he inform me of this in the beginning?  My now new surgeon who does accept my insurance may accept me as long as I have a consultation with him, I tried to have a consult with him a couple of weeks ago and ended having to cancel due to a medical emergency with my friend who was going to take me to see him, so I rescheduled for a Skype consultation with him for this morning Oct 18, 20016.  Since I do not have Skype on my computer, my advocate was willing to meet me at my local LGBT center this morning to have the Skype consult there, she has Skype on her laptop.  She emailed me last night at the last moment and informed me that she is unable to meet me this morning due to a medical emergency.  I now have to try and reschedule again, if I will even get to now.  I am so upset about this.  Have been trying for so long to have this surgery, SRS and it keeps disappearing from me.

Sue-- I know many of the surgeons from meeting them at conventions and all of them are great people.  Admittedly the problem of insurance is a stumbling block to things and that can pretty well be traced to the insurance companies themselves.  If a doctor does not accept a certain insurance company's benefits, it is because they or their operating hospital have had trouble getting payments on time, or in amounts that are sufficient.

I do not know who you are hoping will do things for you, but you are in CA, and I know the ones here whom I have met will work with you and know all to well about the communication  problems in today's world.  I am betting that fate is just holding you for the absolutely perfect moment to make contact with your eventual doctor, and not trying to prevent the moment.

Thank you Vicky.  The surgeon that is accepting my insurance is Dr. Josef Hadeed of Beverly Hills.  I just called his office and was able to get in to see him in person next Tuesday.  Now I have to try and arrange transportation up there since I do not drive.  I can take the train up with no problem, it is getting over there from Los Angeles.  I did ask my friend though and waiting to hear back from her.
