Wow I've been busy staying clean and sober!

Sorry I haven't been hanging out much lately, I have been hugely busy with women's flat track roller derby. I started out just wanting to be a derby referee. Now I'm a pink shirt NSO (non skating official), a zebra in training and a way brand new fresh meat on the "Smash squad" 954 percent of your normal daily adrenaline requirement.

If you want to find an environment that is female and accepting, here is your opportunity to interact with women. The youngest girl on our team is eighteen, the oldest gal is seventy. I always thought I was too old to derby. Wrong! Go for it! At least check out WFTDA bouts on YouTube.

Oh and you should see the my skates I built. They are little race cars! Remember the Roadrunner cartoon? When I skate these, I look like the results the Coyote had on skates with the Acme rocket strapped on back. Giggle. Jody on her butt.

Anyway, I picked up my five year medallion last Friday. I just don't have time to drink and drug anymore. I wish you could all come along with me too.

Please don't look for me at any major bouts yet. I haven't the skills yet to make a city, state, regional team. I think it's too far past my prime for a national or international team. I ref scimmages for our national team. Jesus! They are a cross between NASCAR and rugby! Giggle.

Oh yeah almost forgot, my registered derby name is Miss Behaved. Love and miss you all! JodyAnn (Miss Bee)

Double congrad's!!!:D:applause:

5 years is great! And it's great that you've found something you love to do. "Beep beep", zip bang - After him, Whyle E! (Whyle E. Coyote was always one of my favorites!)

Lots of love,

Timber Wolf?

Fantastic Jody!  5 years is simply a miracle.  Better yet it sounds you are certainly living beyond your wildest dreams.

So glad to hear from you.  You have been through so much and yet have sobriety, cool skates and a wonderful sense of humor!

Hugs of love,

Charlize

Back in the days I was only 5 years along the path, the thing that made it easier was that I at last knew WHO I was, and was having so darn much fun I did not want the junk.  I hope that is the secret you have found and will keep with you for a whole lot longer!!
