I have never liked the fact that New Hampshire gets to vote first on the presidental candidates and most of the interesting ones are gone long before they get to us, but that's what you like to do, if you think you are better than everybody else and they need your guidence, too bad they don't really want to lead this off.

They should be nicer to the rest of us, we can get maple syrup from Vermont and Canada!

I am quite disappointed and in a way I feel we were thrown under the bus again. Why? Because we were competing with the Marriage Equality bill for time and support. As a result we took a lot more flack than expected as people choose to attack us instead of going after "the gays". Hopefully the Marriage Equality bill will pass and become law so we have the field to ourselves in 2011.

It is hardly a great example of Democracy when a handful of states get to go first and determine who is on the ballot for everyon else, but then we have never been a true democracy.

If we were the primaries would be national (one polling day across the nation) and the Electorial College would be removed (it was the way that the 'educated' land owners still got to control the outcome of the popular elections).

One man (person), one vote, yeah right!

Just mine doesn't count as much because it comes to late - and we have had Presidents who lost the popular vote and went in on the electorial College - even if it was your candidate, that's not Democracy!

Sorry, but I am so tired of never having an equal say - I am finally a member of a minority - the sure way to get some rights other than committing a felony and we are the ignored one - life isn't fair but just once, I'd like to be on the top so I could help others up in stead of on the bottom where everyone is walking on me to get up.

It is so frustrating and this bills defeat is just one more example that I don't count, just like my vote!

The name "the Bathroom Bill" s a misnomer. Has nothing to do with the bathroom; has much to do with trans-gender people being protected from discrimination. Isn't it strange that the children, women, and traditional values are used to discriminate against a group of people? I'm a believer in traditional values; and I'm a believer in equality, too. If they're concerned about marriage, why don't they help those couples who are struggling? If they are so concerned about women and children, they should use all their efforts to combat domestic violence and child abuse (these heinous are committed mostly by straight folks).

Trans gender people will need to take over the reigns because we need to speak for ourselves. We've been thrown under the bus too many times.
