VA GOPers Change Rules for Addressing Colleagues In Reaction to Roem Win

This is a petulant and disgraceful move by the Republicans in VA, but Roem seems willing to let it slide.  That's fine, unless they refuse to treat her with respect and civility or deliberately misgender her.

Simply amazing!  You know this issue would never have come up if she hadn't won a seat.

I'm so proud of Danika!  ...But if transition is life changing, I can't imagine what's she's in for.  Her opponent, "Bigot Bob" as he was called by some,  was a jerk during the campaign but there are many more just like him waiting for Danika at the capitol and probably a few of Bob's friends who probably can't wait to punish her with a special kind of hatred.  I doubt she'll be as happy and sheltered as she was on election night for long.  It makes me want to do all that I can to encourage her.  She isn't my representative but she IS my sister!
