Got an email from NHS England this afternoon...

...they've approved the funding for hair removal. They'll pay for 8 sessions of laser or up to £1,500 of electrolysis if I'm not a suitable candidate for laser (Dr Timmins said that my hair should be dark enough so fingers crossed). So excited!

That's great, Shiratori!  No insurance in the U.S. would do the same, even with a doctor's note.  The NHS has its issues, but they can still do right by us from time to time.

Get some lidocaine (it is over the counter here in the US) it helps with the pain, they may even prescribe some for you to help deal with it. it is usually used for burns (and works well for that too--I found out ).

Hair removal can be a real burden for us. Congrats on getting some help with it - yahoo!! I hope the process is not too painful for you and that you'll be blessed with smoother skin sooner rather than later.
