I saw an ad for this downloadable book, and wondered if it was worth the $39.95? It sounds pretty comprehensive, but you can never tell for sure from an ad. Any experiences with it? Thanks!

You are very wise to question the ads, I have no experience with this book, but maybe some others will.

Love ya,

You have mirrors in the house? and eyes on the street?

I have an old vogue book of beauty for makeup tips, and other than that all I have ever done is observe and try to find my own style.

We need Lizzy XD

Hi Carolyn,

I downloaded the book and there are some good pointers and advice however the information is also freely available elsewhere such as the internet and sites such as this. I bought this book during one of my pink hazes and haven't really referred to it much.

I agree with Lizzy in trying to find your own style but not sure what she means about eyes in the street :P

Julia said it - I doubt an expensive book will do much for you. There is SO MUCH free information out there! Hey - how did I get to be the cross-dressing expert - grin!

And yes - watch what women are - simple way to learn how to dress like you want. Be (1) age appropriate (2) season appropriate (3) appropriate for the place you want to be (or imagine you want to be). That's about it.

And then there are the 'fashion' magazines! Yikes - women never dress like that! But it is fun to see what the fashion industry WANTS women to think. Sometimes they have great make-up and skin care tips.

And my favorite advice?

If you want to look like a woman - BE a woman, at least in your mind. This means crossdressers must FEEL feminine, not necessarily look feminine. An us transsexual We need to FEEL female to act and be female.

Hee hee

Hope this helps!

Lizzy, dear, you always know the best way to say it. Short and sweet. I WILL take your advice. I know I can feel feminine, as that's how I feel inside all the time.

I get my ideas from the women I know and see on te street. I read magazines, browse stores, and create my own sense of style.

I tried going around feeling women but all I got was a lousy restraining order. :P

I don't recommend it.

Oh and forget the fashion ideas in women's magazines! They are great magazines to read as far as becoming a woman and the beauty tips are fantastic, just skip over the fashion pages.
