Hello from Florida :)

So I've had this account for a few weeks if not a month at this point, and I'm just now getting the time to sit down and introduce myself. 

 

I'm Sophie! Some people in my life call me soap or soapy, sometimes an outlandish variation like soup and, I kid you not, I've been called sock on more than one occasion. I've recently come out of hiding after a long period of repressing myself for what I consider to have been a survival technique: those who I lived with were all sorts of screwed up, and now that I'm out of that situation (wasn't easy! I'm a trooper, no doubt about it), I'm ready to be my best self again. No more deadname if I can help it. Enough of that he/him/his nonsense. Why?

 

Because I'm a woman! A trans woman, who's also into reading, writing, silky lotions, video games, the smell that gets trapped in your wallet after leaving it in a room where incense has been burning, the feeling of dipping your hands into large sacks of rice or beans, fashion, foreign and domestic film and literature, and meat. Gotta have my sausage patties, bacon, and pork steaks (no such thing as too much grease or butter).

 

I'm glad to be here, and that something like this exists. The world can be and often is an unforgiving, dismal nightmare: any network I can involve myself with regarding my constellation of personality (especially with my experience as a trans woman) doubtlessly helps.
