Court Will Decide If Parents Can Block HRT of Trans Son

If they can get the kid to 18, then then the parents are up a creek without a paddle, but I get a feeling in this case the parents want the child under a court conservancy where the parents will have more chance of control even after the age of majority.  Again we have the OWNERSHIP mentality on the part of parents which I find to be against the whole concept of being a parent which lets a child move on to their own destiny.

I feel sorry for that boy, and hope that his grandparents get custody. Parental support, or in this case, support from the grandparents, is vital to his mental and physical health. His parents are, by not supporting him, saying "we 'love' you but not enough to support you even if you will be happier if you transition."

I just googled the results of the court order. The judge gave the teens grandparents custody. Although I did not read the whole article, I am pleased that the court understood the anguish that the teen was going through and found it in his best interest to have the necessary medical treatment to deal with her dysphoria.

My Mistake, the teen is a trans-boy, not a trans-girl.The pronouns should be his, he, not her, she. I apologize for the mistake.

Thank goodness! It makes me so frustrated to hear of parents acting on false religious dogma rather than the child's Wellfare.:banghead: Telling their child they should kill themself because they're going to hell anyway is no way to love your child. I hope they didn't really say this.

Lots of love,

I can't imagine any parent saying anything like that. I also hope they didn't say that, but it is nice to see a little, (albeit very little) light in these dark days of political backsliding. Hope the little steps in the right direction keep going.

Hugs,

Brandi

I'm glad he is in his grandparents' custody and care. It sounds like he'll be better off.
