I would like to conceal my eyebrows and draw new ones when I'm enfemme.

I know there is some kind of wax and sealer you can use, but I'd like to know if someone has a way to accomplish this with things you can find around the house. Thank you.

On Rupaul's Drag Race, I could see the girls using some kind of white substance to obscure their brows. I don't think it was concealer because I tried that and the brow hair pokes through...

Hiyas Meredith :)

I get my eyebrows waxed these days so its been awhile, but I used to use a product that had bee's wax in it to flatten and smooth the eyebrows down. I am sorry but I don’t have any left and I can't remember the name of the product. After using the bee's wax I would cover the eyebrow with Dermablend Quick Fix Concealer which comes in a lipstick type container and then draw in the eyebrow.

I hope this helps!

*hugs*

Hi,

I read in a book for makeup artist who do the SF masc in horror or SF movies, that they are using mastix. Mastix is a adhesive to put rubber nose in place. It is also used as a adhesive for medical tabes. But than it is a different type of mastix.

The liquid mastix is just put on the eyebrows to glue all hairs together. After the mastix is dry you can use some preasure to bring the hairs more closer together. Than you can just put normal makeup over it.

Later on when you want to remove it, you need special mastix solvent. But you must take care that mastix and solvent is not getting in your eyes.

You can get this parts from http://www.kryolan.com/en/index.php. They have contact partners in the hole world. You can also get information on how to do special makeup work. Sometimes good halloween stores have also this things in stock.

Greetings

Nelly

Hi Nelly,

This is great information...ironically, I was in Barnes & Noble this past Saturday reading a Sci-Fi/Horror makeup book and I saw Mastix but didn't know what it was...now I do, thanks to you. And, thanks for the web-site!!

Love,

Meredith

Well too late now - I just did them permanently with electrolysis... yikes

When crossdrssing I used scar concealler in a tube - like makeup but super dense. I also used Clearasil - do they still make that? The paste type in a tube.

Hope this helps.

I adore the Bee Gees. There's no way that I could link all their great songs in the above post. To me though, this song of theirs is head and shoulders above everything else:

My long hair is the single most important physical feature of my body which confirms the presence of my inner woman.   That said @SS, I am the 'other' sort of bi-gender. I am of the simultaneous type. I do not flip-flop between girl days and boy days either mentally or through presentation. For me, I am both primary genders at the same time, and the compromise is made through an androgynous presentation. When I look in the mirror, I can see either, but I am happy to admit that when I see a woman, I am happier.

Quite unexpected!   I had my weekly conversation with my father last night and he mentioned something he did that caught me totally off guard.  He was browsing garage sales and came across a nice blond wig, he decided to buy it and his wife was quite perplexed he said.  They had a dinner date with a couple that are friends since high school, and my father went dressed as a woman (with his wife's assistance). He said he did it as a "joke", but spent the entire evening dressed.

Thank you! So do I! Although I'm proud of what it portrays, I don't wear it often because I think it could be taken as being a bit provocative. One part of me says look at me, I'm proud to be on the rainbow and the other part says pull your head in, you're asking for trouble.   I do have a more subtle pride t-shirt that I visibly wear more often, here is a representation of it: "Moon phase rainbow" V-Neck T-Shirt by secretmagic | Redbubble
