Disappointed with my body changes

Wendy Girl

Recommended Posts

Hi all.
I've been on estradiol for almost a year now, started on *mg a day then after 6 months was bumped up to *mg, which I am still currently on, and Androcur for 3 months.
I've not felt any growth in my breasts for a long time. I've started massaging them to see if I can help a growth spurt. However, things aren't going the way I have hoped. I realise that it takes time and that I'm basically going through a second puberty and at my age (46) I shouldn't expect too much. But, I was hoping for more growing pains than this. The rest is fantastic, I feel so much better in myself and I'm so very much happier as a person, and much more fun to be around.
I will try to speak to my doctor about this in the coming weeks as I only see him once a month to renew my prescription of T-Blockers. Anyone else had this experience, I've not felt a growth spurt for a good 5 months now...Is that normal ladies?

Wendy, as mentioned on Discord, I started on HRT yesterday.  I'm taking *mg daily of Estradiol & ***mg Spironolactone daily.  Did you notice any breast growth during the first 5 or 6 months? If so, can you tell me more detail?...privately if you want.  I'm curious what I should expect in my first few months as to my breast growth.

Please remember that we do not allow dosages to be discussed on this site.  That being said it has been my experience that my girls have undergone "growth" spurts.  These were not caused by changes to HRT type or dosages used but instead to my own time clock.  It's been over 6 years since i started and recently felt the sensation of puberty yet again.  Please do talk to your doctor about your meds and developments but as difficult as it is patience is often the best (and safest) way of change.

Hugs,

Charlize

Our genetics play a part in this that is often overlooked.  We will not know how we could have looked if our growth had been fueled by Estrogen beginning at ages 9 to 11, but I know that my daughters (now in 40's) took until nearly age 16 or more to finish their development.  Both of them got breast genes from their mother's side of things it seems.  I am in the middle of my two sisters as far as my size goes.  One was an A and the other a B+ and from 3 mammograms we know that my breast tissue is very dense, but it is there for sure.  I had several "abrupt changes" at several points.  One was after my GCS about the time one of my mammograms picked up some "intrusive" tissue and I had to have a needle biopsy done to check for breast cancer.  Luckily the tissue was benign and one common in younger women.  (I was 65 at the time).  Recently, while I was recovering from an injury, I put some weight on that did go into my boobs, and the boob stuff is staying even though some of the other has left.

In the 4 months I’ve been on the meds I have noticed some growth. Nothing has dropped or anything yet, but it is obvious at this point. But even 4 months in ive seen jumps at times and lulls as well. It’s all how you react. No telling what the future will bring.

I've also had recent sensation of change happening after several years on E.   I'm definitely sore so I know they are growing.  No change in dosage.

May I ask, if it soars, then for sure growing? I kind of experience the same thing as Wendy...Started more than a year ago with low dosage then tapered up to my higher maintenance dosage (Estrogen and blockers). My endocrinologist has just added Progesterone. From when I should count the 2-3 years when I should know what size of breasts I can expect?

Hugs,

Yes Noemi after 3 years you "should" be fairly well done.  It your breasts are sore something is happening.  As Vicky noted her breast tissue is dense, so the growth you experience may not be outward, but internal.   Your breast profile may go to a point and not any "bigger" but you may get more fuller breasts.  That seems like the approach mine are taking as my measurements haven't changed much at all in the recent past but I fit my bra's better.

Be careful as progesterone has some side effects that may not be desirable.  My doctor said it can cause mood swings and depression.  I decided against it.

I came up with a new strategy.  Replace the good 2 year old car we bought used with something that suits me. New or used but has to suit me this time and I’ll hang on to the old ford as long as it starts and runs for going to work when wife needs @ car.  Oh and yes she could drive the ford too, she’s done it many times in the past.  Movable pedals and seat combine to get here where she needs to be.  Now I just have to sell her on that idea.     now starts the search all over again but I can double my top range!

Sup singly, a superintendent prevented a student within the transgender community from changing current name, to the new name in which the student identifies with, I don't know how far back this story goes, but if you Google it under Oklahoma along with "student name change" the article should pop up. I'm not transgender, but I can relate to the process of legally getting a name change done, it's a lot of paperwork from court, a lot of traveling, and expenses depending on the laws from each state.

No one seemed to pay attention to me other than a young woman who complimented me on my skirt and an older gentleman who smiled at me as we passed each other.

Wow, I guess it’s the dat to be in trouble.  I’ve been hit twice by the ASM today and it’s my day off.  Why didn’t you, followed latter with a where is the.  Made me realize that I do t want to continue working long enough to pay for it. I guess I’ll just to have to stick with my 20 year old car for now.   I suppose sooner or later only one of us won’t be able to drive anymore.  Since I am older you might think it would be me but at this time i am the one that does all the driving except when she goes to church or the store when I’m at work.  She hasn’t driven anywhere since February and hasn’t driven more than 10 miles in perhaps a year.  Yet the “good” car was purchased for her not for me because she couldn’t drive the Jeep which we bought strictly for her because she wanted it.  But it turned out I was the one that really liked it.  Can’t win.

Had one like that one time that would bite you on occasion.  Got rid of that thing quickly.

Good morning :)   I have coffee today, but the cup keeps leaking (I guess the cap isn't able to fully seal or something), so I keep having to wipe up the sides lol   Almost finished all my missing work for school, which means if I do a bit more work, I should be out of trouble with my parents (not even that bad of trouble compared to when I was younger, more just an annoyance haha)
