Beautiful day today.  Bright sunny and 60s.  Coffee and donuts for breakfast.  Tex-Mex for lunch.

Send your extra leftovers this way, we ran out already.  LOL

We're home from our trip.  No leftovers though so I'll buy a small turkey to roast.  It's overcast and heavy rains are coming later today.  I have to pick up my set of snow tires that I had new TPM sensors installed in the rims.   Definitely will be needing them soon.

Good Morning

Coffee is brewing,  Camellias are in bloom.  Reached 32 last night, first time since last March.  But it won't stick around for long.  Seventies for highs by weekend and next week.

Have a great day!

Two egg omelet and one cup of coffee already down, now getting myself ready so I can hit Annie’s salon this morning before work.  I try to go every three weeks as my attempts to go longer have messed up my nails, I am in desperate need of a trim, they’re just getting too long. I know I am getting myself in trouble when I can’t reach the left side of my screen because my long thumb nail hangs up on the phone case!  Or when I’m trying to type at work and I’m hitting the keys above what I really want and everything on the screen is absolutely gibberish!  since it’s actually December I’m going to go with something a little festive, maybe a frost blue glitter with some snowflakes? I was chatting with my ex last night about it and she suggested the snowflakes, great idea!  I am really starting to enjoy just being able to chitchat with the ex,  gives me hope that we can be friends and maybe go to the salon together some day, I’m pretty sure if I offered to pay that the bribe would work wonders ?

Well made it home. Today. So headed out Friday. kind of crappy roads between here and Cheyenne so I took the back way. Got on the interstate with no problems all the way to Grand Island, NE. So we find the Hotel and check in.

Try to load the tickets on my phone with no luck. So we head to the concert venue. They give us paper tickets. It about 5:30 so we fine some place to eat. then back to the concert to wait. Oh, did I mention it has started to rain. So have a great time at the concert. Came out to a down pour. OK, so head back to the hotel. We had seen signs on the hwy about a winter storm warning starting Fri until Sun. Yeah.

So a couple times before bed I check out the window. Still raining. Hit the sack. Check about 1am, 3:30 and 5am guess what still raining. Get up just before 8 look out side, and low and behold it has changed to snow.

Check the road reports for NE. I-80 west. slush, snow covered. OH and West bound, Closed for an accident close to North platte. Yeppy.  So I check east, open and wet. then hwy 81 south to KS. is mixed. SO we wind up heading to my oldest sons. We stay the night visiting and spoiling my grand kids.

OH. I try and get my computer going to check the road reports. I have no wi-fi. happened one other time so I would up doing a soft reboot to see if it will come back. Not a chance. I mention to my son that I need to get a new laptop. So he says, we have an extra one that was my daughter in laws. It was used very little and has been just sitting. So got a great new (to me) laptop for the cost of one box of size 2 diapers for my  3 month old granddaughter and a box of size 6 for my 3 yr old grandson who in the process of potty training.

So take off for home this morning, except for about a 10-15 mile stretch of I-70 that was bad the rest was clear sailing.

So that was my exciting weekend. but have two more days off to relax and go to Dr appointments tomorrow.

Well typical Monday morning here. I have just had my breakfast coffee with cereals. I have simple frosted flakes, but with lots of added things, seeds etc. Whatever takes my fancy. It is quite warm here at the moment, at least for the time of year (perhaps 50 deg F). From a post someone made elsewhere though of very snowy conditions here at this time less than 10 years ago, things could essily change. The weather is so unpredictable these days.

I am glad you got home Ok Kymmie

I'm moving better today.  Ibuprofen has a role in that but i could almost enjoy my coffee this morning.  I've been running a fever which makes even the normal farm chores seemingly impossible.  Mostly it's been a few days of sleep.  Hopefully i'm on the way out.  I hate not being well enough to accomplish some goals.

Hugs,

Slept in a little late this morning.  Made coffee for my wife and I. Rained off and on all day yesterday and last night. Looks like more of the same today.  House cleaning and packing to go to my daughters house later this week on tap.

Charleze, sorry you’ve been sick.  Hope you get better soon.

Sleeping in is a good thing, I must have gotten 9 hours last night, cold and foggy this morning, just above freezing here.

Gonna be a nice day here, think I'll work around the house, on my 2nd cup of coffee now, deciding what to do with my free time (I'm off work this week), burning vacation before the end of the year, use it or loose it.

Do get well Charlize, and enjoy your day everyone.

Good morning! It's about 1 AM here at the time of submitting this post, so it's technically morning, right? It's stinking hot here at the moment thanks to a record breaking heatwave. We had a loud thunderstorm a few hours ago that had not much rain but a very pretty lightning show.

When it gets late enough in the morning I plan on vacuuming the bedroom and maybe the office. We'll see how much energy I have left after that. For now I plan on playing some good ol' video games, maybe watch a few youtube videos or something.

I hope you're feeling better soon Charlize.

Christmas presents are wrapped and in the car.  Vacuuming is done.  Laundry is done (my wife did that).  Ready to start packing.  We leave Wednesday morning.

We are driving 450 miles to pick up my son, and then another 60 to get to my daughter's house.  Good news my daughter in law will be able to make it as well.  this will be the first time in over 3 years we've all been together.

Feeling any better Charlize? I hope you are on the road to recovery.

Hugs

Well I was speaking about things being variable with the weather. No snow at the moment but I think it is forcast for more northern areas. I was surprised as it had got cold overnight and when I went out to put out the trash this morning the bin lid was frozen shut. Yes it can change quickly. Have a lovely day all!

It got cold overnight, down in low 30's.  It was in the 50's yesterday.  We're in for a period of cold!  I woke at 5am and it was cold in the house (owww) at 64deg.  The furnace needed to be reset.  I'll change the filter at the oil tank today.

Coffee tasted really good this morning!

Kirsten While I could give up coffee. My wife could never do it.

Jani, I wish it was 50 out today. It is showing a little over 20 right now. We have had our snow now it can warm up now.

Finally swapped out the alternator in my wife's Town car today. all of 15 minutes. But still have to Alt light on. Ran up to work to check it. the new Alt fail the output. SO I ordered another one. While I was there one of my co-workers said her was going to lunch and I was going to cover for him.

I said I wasn't dressed correctly. Teasingly he said OH, You forgot your skirt. I came back but I did wear my tights. ( Which I had worn under my jeans) I am waiting to come out at work when it is necessary.  Maybe when HRT starts to change and develop.

We started the morning at 34, I am cold....the coffee and fruit loops helped. I also had a bowl of fruit and yogurt (parfait!). I am looking at a certain issue in regards to my  business and am worrying too much about it. One more obstacle to overcome......

That is am what I planning on. Take the defensive driving class after the conviction and all goes away aside from the fine I pay. My vehicle is a commercial vehicle (10,000+ pound diesel pickup truck with commercial plates), but since I exclusively use it for personal use so I do not need or have a CDL.

I seems like I am dreading going to my job more each day. So, I take it as a sign to jump ship. All the time I expect to be chastised. It is not a good way to have a job. I am on the hunt for a new one, however nothing has surfaced.   Kymmie

I'm currently on the ballot for an open US Representative seat in Portland Oregon.  Here are some of the news stories on me:   Rachel Lydia Rand on Ballotpedia: https://ballotpedia.org/Rachel_Rand#Campaign_themes KATU 2 (ABC) Know Your Candidates 2024: Rachel Lydia Rand https://www.katu.com/news/know-your-candidates/rachel-lydia-rand-d-congress-district-3 League of Women Voters Candidate Forum for US Representative https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOoS39CTEOw KOIN 6 Written Interview | top issues, what's going right https://www.koin.com/news/politics/rachel-rand-on-running-for-district-3-top-issues-whats-going-right/ League of Women Voter's Interview with Rachel Lydia Rand https://youtu.be/V5o9RKE3WVo     This is my third time running for US Rep.  Campaigning is very challenging for me because I only have two family members still alive and I've spent less than 2 weeks with them in my life and I have virtually no social network to start with and I don't belong to any social media sites.  I haven't even been able to post here and on sites like it because of rules about self-promotion.   I'm boldly saying in these videos that I want to be appointed to vice-president in the next 5 years.  My platform is about addressing climate change and everything that comes with it.  Population decline is the number one proposal I have and it is very, very scary and controversial for most people.  The way I see it is that oil is more than a fuel we burn in our cars, it's a substance we pave our roads with.  And it will run out, so at some point in the future, most of these roads are going to go away and we'll have a much harder time distributing food.  I play chromatic pennywhistle and I'm this iconic whistleblower politician saying that we will not be able to support 10 billion people at the end of the century on wind and solar power.  Even solar panels are made with oil and there isn't much difference between a wind turbine and a dam.  If we can build skyscrapers and nuclear power, then you'd think we'd be able to figure out how to make a wind turbine 100 years ago.  It's simply not as efficient.  The numbers I've crunched say that if we have one child for every two women for the next 40 years and then go back to normal replacement rate, we'll get our population down to 2 billion by 2099 which is where the world was at in 1950.  If we don't do that and stay on this current path for the projected 10 billion by 2100, then when oil runs out and climate change raises sea levels and floods coastal cities, humanity is going to be in a very uncivil situation.   I'm sorry that I'm not making a huge issue of transgender rights.  Of course I'm here to support our community.  I'd be highly visible on our national and international scene as a transwoman.  I tend to focus on engineering realities rather than these social issues.  It upsets me that people take engineering for granted.  People tend to just get in their cars and think that there will be some space age technical solution that will make it all OK.   OK, that's my rant for the day :-)  Coffee is on.  4:26am.  The ABC station is interviewing me again in a few hours and people can vote for me today.  Please consider spreading the word.  I'm only one person and it takes an incredible amount of effort to keep my political thinking and platform going.   Sincerely, Rachel Lydia Rand Jazz Musician | Software Engineer

"Exstatic" is an adjective that means feeling great rapture or delight. For example, "His wife gave birth to their first child, and he was ecstatic about it". Synonyms of "ecstatic" include rapturous, entranced, enthusiastic, and frenzied.
