I love the sound of doves cooing, it's a peaceful sound !

I am at work now, but sipping coffee and seeing we have a sunny morning today after rain overnight.

Here is a picture  you might recognize  @Ellora. I was last there in '15.

Have a great day !

Wow that's a great sunset picture !! how pretty. I used to go Pacific Beach a lot when I was younger (I grew up down there).

The picture I snapped was from my hotel room and it was in "old town" pretty much down the street from the stadium and convention center.

Have a wonderful day !

Love the sunset picture.  Around here if you are willing to get up early enough sunrise can be spectacular.

Hi! Sounds nice! Coastal clouds here, turned into a nice breezy day.

Thank you! I used to take sunset pics like these all the time before they closed the access to the roof top here. The only time the open it now, is on the Fourth of July, then we go up topside and bbq, drink, play music all day, until the fireworks display. They put four barges on the bay and a radio station plays music to the fireworks.

I wish they would reopen the roof, I definitely would be posting more posts here most mornings.

This morning I went to have a celebratory breakfast with My daughter, and her girlfriend,  my son and his girlfriend. My daughter Graduated today with an A.S. and Culinary Degree!! Super Proud of her!! She has worked really hard on this for a while. She deserves the best in life! ?

Congratulations on your daughters graduation.  I hope the breakfast lived up to the expectations of a person with a culinary degree.

I'm finishing my oatmeal cooked with our blueberries and maple syrup.  The trip from farm to table can be quite short here.

Grow oats?   Na.... too much to do already.  That's coffee talking.

Hugs,

Charlize

Thank you! I couldn’t stop hugging her yesterday ? I’m so proud of her, she very hard to do this. The culinary part was easy. The Math part of her degree was not. Anne was never good at math, but she pushed past that, and did it!

The place was ok, but not the best. That ok, there are plenty more restaurants in SD for us to go to in San Diego another time.

Mmmmm blueberries and maple syrup on oatmeal. Especially if they are fresh! Enjoy your breakfast!

(Hmmm, I wanted to add and can’t find the edit button). Having fresh breakfast from the farm has to be the best. How many farm animals do you have ? My friend I visit frequently, lives in an area where people have some goats and chickens in their yard. Some others have horses, one we can see from her backyard. A little further up the road The farms get bigger.

Good morning all ! Just cooking bacon up in the kitchen right now, so I'll keep my post short.

"she can bring home the bacon, and fry it up in a pan" Life is truly good here !

Congratulations Ellora on your daughter's graduation :applause:

Sitting here, peering out the window...a plane passes by on approach to Lindbergh, passengers looking out of their windows at a rainy morning in San Diego.

Reading your post Ellora I jumped back in the past and visualised you peering out your window and seeing Charles Lindbergh flying past. Now that would have cheered up the rainy morning!

I almost thought you were saying something else Ellora! I’m so glad it was just me being tired and my vision being a bit blurry.

It’s been unseasonably cold here lately, hot one day then cold and raining the next.

?? I reread my post and That made me laugh! I don’t think my neighbors or the passengers on the plane, would appreciate such a sight ?. The planes aren’t that close, but close enough to see my building, just a few blocks over. ?

Ya, it’s been a bit more rainy here than the past, but nothing too crazy. I hope you have better days ahead!

We finally got a break in the rain yesterday.  I managed to clean the barn's accumulation of 12" of packed straw and manure from 40 goats.  It is indeed one of the labors of Hercules.  This old gal is blessed with some good equipment or i'd never manage it.  At times i wonder if i'm really retired........then i have another cup of coffee, chat here and commute out the front door.  Lovely!

Hugs,

I read about her this morning. What a shame! She was beautiful and it seems she had a strong support system in place and could have had a wonderful life all to have it end like this. Such a waste. I truly hope the monster that killed her gets everything he deserves.

I am so glad you enjoy them as well. The help things “stay put” so well. It got me through some of my most dysphoric times.   Wow, I hadn’t heard this at last week’s Zoom meeting if you had mentioned it. That is a huge milestone April Marie.I have no doubt that this confidence will only grow in time. The freedom of being yourself, especially in public, is a wonderful feeling. I am truly happy for you.😘   *Big Congratulatory Hug* Susan R🌷

@Abigail Genevieve, that is not an appropriate question, IMO.  This isn't the Army/McCarthy hearings.   Carolyn Marie

Don't think Americans would go for the "compulsory" part. We kind of like not being told what to do ... Amazingly, there is great pushback on voter ID laws. The opponents say it discourages voting, especially among the poor and minorities. That is really a smokescreen IMO for those who want to harvest ballots from as many places as possible, including folks who don't exist or don't hold citizenship...

Pretty soon I think I might be ready to talk about gender-affirming care for kids, possibly w/r/t the Cass Review and its shortcomings.

She was a beautiful young woman ...   "What we do know is that the offender was a very violent individual and should not have been on our streets.”  Whether gender related or not, the mental health and incarceration issues in our country are incredibly bad and need to be addressed.

April,   I'm glad my entries are interesting to you.  TransCentralPA is a great organization with so many caring people.  I would strongly recommend you find a way to attend the Keystone Conference.  I guarantee you'll find it an amazing experience.     Hugs,   Sally

Dear @Sally Stone.  I think you should author a memoir based on these posts (maybe you're already working towards that?).  You could decide at a later time if/when you might want to publish.   I appreciate you sharing your deep connection with your friend Willa (and I am sorry for your loss) and the benefit of having a Trans friend and mentor in our Life and Journey.  I was fortunate to have found one also in our TGP friend @Kasumi63.   As you know we share many common Life themes in our stories.  Drop me a PM if you'd like to chat about it.  Looking forward to the next 'chapter'.

Voting is compulsory here, for better or worse. Would doing the same in the US snap people out of their apathy?
    • Abigail Genevieve
I am noting you use CRT terminology.  The comment is not out of the blue.  Some of your remarks on religion suggest atheism.  So it is believable that you are a Marxist, knowingly or not.  Are you?
