Ohhh, sorry to hear about the thermostat issue.  Mold is a terrible problem as it seems to get everywhere.  I hope the cleaning goes easy.  Yes get the stereo connected!

Jani

I'm looking into hiring a hospital-certified cleaning crew to go after everything once I've gotten the furniture unstacked, etc.

Thermostat failure more or less caused the problem, but mitigated it too, since the HVAC wasn't blowing mold spores everywhere.

For today, bleach followed by lemon oil should handle the worst.

Good advice Sara! I suffered from some rhino (something or other) that gave me a post nasal drip at night, I used to sleep on my back and would wake up thinking I was drowning. I finally saw an allergist who tested me for everything and eventually came up with a proper diagnosis and a pill that solved the problem for me. Go see a specialist and get a proper diagnosis and prescription to fix the problem.

Well just had a knock down drag out with my youngest. He's 22. Over where we put the vacuum cleaner. I am not the one who went ballistic. I went to move the vacuum from in front of the closet door to the landing on the stairs.  He goes off yelling at me. about how Mom want it there and all. push comes to shove and ultimately wind up on the floor. He chops down on my hand. He pulls my hair. We separate and he yells at me telling me that I have a anger issue. I tell him that he is the one with anger issues. I tell him to leave. He does.  I tell the dog to go finish eating. He was protecting me.  I go take a shower. Come back down my wife is watching TV. He is still gone.

Other than that everything is great. I have no remorse on what happened. Will he be able to come back, yes. Am I going to apologize, NO.

@KymmieL My apologies if my comments came across the wrong way, that was not my intent. I just wanted to make sure that you and anyone else that may read this in the future go see a doctor to help with treatment.

After my morning tea, I’m off to buy a “new-to-me” car today. My current vehicle needs several thousand in repairs and is on worth a couple thousand at best. Buying it from family, it’s very gently used and they are giving me an amazing deal.  They are amazing people in a very good financial position and have helped my wife and I out in the past. I’m blessed to have them in my life.

Have a great day everyone!

Sara, No problems on this end. I agree that while the web may be good for research. Always refer to your medical provider.  I was just wondering if what I have had for meany years could be a deviated septum. So I can visit with my Dr about it.

Sorry you are going through all of this with your son Kymmie.  Hopefully things will smooth out!

Tammy Anne, be careful to take a kook at any finished oil painting you left in your studio. I've found mold growing on some of my work especially on cadmium yellow pigment for some reason.

I'm now busy in the woods repairing maple sap collection tubing.  Down trees, branches, and squirrel bites found late spring need repair.  Then i flush every tap with water and repair any new leaks before the season begins.

Farming is always busy....

Hugs,

Charlize

Good Morning Girls (and boys.)

I am starting my day off in a super positive mood.  I have my first therapy appointment today and as some of you may know I have had some fairly huge anxiety attacks over this lately.

I posted here about them while they were occurring and feel silly about what I wrote and how.  But thank you all for being supportive.

Today, to me, is my first coming out event.  To a live person.  I realize my therapist knows about me already as we emailed a lot for a week on different things.  Still. I am scared as I am so conditioned to always hide that frightened girl inside.  I am trying to look at it as liberating but the fear nibbles at me still.

I dressed as feminine as I could though still presenting as a male.  Of course wearing nice feminine undergarments to reinforce myself,  a light pink silky golf polo, light tan slacks.  My employee dress code dictate a collared shirt and slack for male employees.

All body hair removed!  (I had to add that as it has been a trail for me lately)

Its a big step for me.

I know a lot of you looked at it differently and felt it was not all that bad.  I am hoping I come away feeling the same way.

Please wish me luck and have a great day!

@Nivegnal I hope you find it cathartic to talk to someone face to face, I know I did and still do. I was super nervous for the first few sessions with my therapist, now I am much more relaxed. Good luck.

I am so sorry to hear this had happened to you in the first place but so happy for you to have this positive win towards justice.  Be strong.

This resonates with my experience with an abusive son who as it turns out is bi-polar. He'd go from angel to violent monster in 60 seconds over absolutely nothing. He moved out with a police escort, haven't seen him in 15 years but have found out that he's been arrested for assault twice since then. I see his little boy and baby pictures and get tearful at times, especially around holidays.

Josie Beth, is there any chance they were going to "rescue" it and give it to you?

This other person I mean.

I always hate to think ill of someone unless I'm certain they were up to no good.

But it's great that you recovered your things.

So now you know things about two people, one who has a good heart, and one who bears watching.

No, we both know this girl and she is totally selfish. She tried twice to claim it as her own and when she realized she was caught, she decided to stop texting the attendant. She doesn’t like being embarrassed but instead of being mindful she punishes others because she did something to embarrass herself. Just a total mess. I don’t like thinking ill of others but it’s really how they behave habitually. If they continue a pattern of behavior I have no problem calling it what it is. I know late reply.

 I need coffee.

Good plan, I carry 24/7, times have changed and the dangers have only increased along with the extremes in incivility.

After two days of moving things around, unpacking, organizing and scrubbing, I'm about ten percent completed! But on the plus, I entertained my pest control and heating and air guys, so spider traps are in place, thermostat fixed, HVAC system working correctly.

My fingers are sore from scrubbing.

Fortunately I see no signs of mold on any artwork. But most of the woodwork in the house still needs attention. Lemon oil! At least things smell nice. I got the leather chairs cleaned up and looking (and smelling) nice again too.

Coffee is a good thing in the mornings. I'm going to rest a day or so, then go after it all again. Drawing studio is about two-thirds ready to work. Painting studio is not even halfway there yet.

Plus I'm trying to get a small RAID array setup so I can have adequate file storage.

Big hugs and smooches to all!

Keep at it and the end will come.  But take breaks.
I live breaks.

Breaks are good.

I'm not as mean to myself as I used to be.

And while I am driven to do my art at the expense of nearly everything else, I do try to find time to rest.

And drink coffee!

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!
    • Ashley0616
It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!

WOW @Ashley0616 it’s good that you have skills to treat traumatic injuries, as well as the ability to remain calm while managing others needs to get yourself and the boys ready to go to the hospital. Proud mama bear skills. I’m glad that he’s doing well.    Meanwhile back at the ranch, we slept in and I’m just now finishing my 3rd cup of coffee.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well yesterday was not fun. I was getting ready to make dinner and I hear screaming and crying. I look over and my son put his foot through glass. He gashed near his Achilles tendon. Thankfully that is intact. I didn't freeze for a second. All of my military training came into play. I doctored him up and got Jett ready and myself and we headed to the ER. He is doing ok today. He says he is in pain but doesn't need Tylenol. He is a tough cookie!

Hi,   It's seems today is my trans birthday.  I'm beyond excited. Just picked up my testogel from the pharmacy. Although I naturally have doubts as I'm sure do we all, they are rapidly disappearing. Yesterday I was so nervous I kept claiming I'm not trans, despite grinning like a fool knowing I can pick up my prescription the next day. I'm shaking and on the verge of happy tears. I will put on my first sachet this eve. Thanks so much to this forum and kind words from people. This is the first forum I found when I began seriously questioning.
