It is wonderful to hear.  So many struggle with how their loved ones will react and accept.  Trust me I know...

Good morning everyone ☃️

I slept in this morning. Woke up to snow! Sitting here with my cup of morning coffee, listening to pretty music, watching the snow outside my window. Very nice start to my day!

Lots of love,

Good Morning everyone :)

I woke up and went to feed my fish to find that there were babies in the tank! I had no idea that my pleco was pregnant or even laid eggs in the first place, and in addition to this, a nice stranger called me sir on my way to school. What a great day so far. Hope all of your days are just as cool.

Sounds like a most wonderful day all around! That’s really cool that you had surprise baby fish, I never had any baby fish when I had fish tanks.

Really happy for your super cool greeting from a stranger! Real times like that are very cool!

I hope your session. It’s been a minute since I’ve had my last one. I don’t have regularly scheduled meetings. Mine are about 3 months apart or unless I feel I need one. I’m sure more could help me, but my introverted side is perfectly ok with waiting. I’ve been fortunate that Im getting what ive needed in my Journey, which in turn has helped me with my GD.

Good morning.

Very sleepy today and a long day at work. However, me and my wife are going away together this weekend and get to be out really feminine. So going to look forward to that.

Kettle is on, there’s the first dusting of snow outside and I’m getting ready for work. Tonight is the first trans group meeting I’ll be attending. I’m super nervous and a little anxious. I’m so hoping to be able to find an irl friend/ally/mentor.

Have a great day everyone!

I'm in a similar situation.  Light snow and freezing out.

Long commute to work today in which I sipped my coffee and listened to an audio book.

I'm still highly upset but more irritated now over my "email loss" yesterday but pulling up my panty hose and going to start again.  LOL

I think I may also send one to my mother to come out as I am feeling that our issues are small compared to others and trying to get to into a "water under the bridge" mode.

Trying this with a lot of things I am dealing with lately...  Holding on the fear/stress/anxiety is killing me slowly.  Plus I am sick of crying over everything.  I mean really.

Have a great day our there and stay warm..!!!

Crying is perfectly fine. Look at it this way, you’ve some years worth of cries that you never did, being in guy mode. You’re just making up for lost time. Having a lot on the go right now, is tough and emotions are probably running very high. It’s okay. She’d some tears, reflect, find some happy thoughts when and where you can, vent to us when you need. You’ll get through this and any other challenge life throws at you.

Good Morning,

Im sipping coffee from Dunkin Donuts takeout in a nearly empty condo.

My mother’s fall in August demonstrated that she cant live alone anymore, so shes moved into an assisted living.  The condo is sold, and needs to cleaned for new owners.

She cant bring 80 years of her stuff and ny fathers to assisted living, so its fallen on me to do it.

Its amazing how difficult it is to get someone to take furniture, that while its used, is still in good condition.   I dont have time to sell.

At least the local food pantry has a thrift shop for all the small things....

You may want to separate the babies from the bigger fish. I have a big Koi pond and find that the other fish eat the babies every time.

The first trans meeting I ever attended back in the 1990's seemed so unusual and such an out of the ordinary stream of life event that I almost bolted out the door. After a few meetings I began to open up and get to know the others, and eventually saw them almost as extended family because of we all shared in common. There were a few with horrible wigs and clothing choices and there were others who looked great and were smart dressers. I still recall the eye-popping event when a 6' 4" statuesque woman in stilettos fishnet stockings, and a 14" skirt sat down directly across facing me, the sight of the large bulge in her panties was and OMG - UGH moment. You will have those moments, but it's all a part of people going through their personal discovery phase.

Hello Laurain!

Dealing with aging parents is always so very frustrating. We begin to realize that our roles have switched when they become child-like and dependent just as we once were to them, my heart goes out to you dear. I know at a condo you can't just put the furniture out by the curb with a free sign, you might just run an estate sale add in the local rag setting a specific date and time for the event.

Good morning.

I'm on my second cup this morning.  The first time I went out dressed with my wife, it was scary, exciting and rewarding all rolled into one.

Good luck going to your support meeting.  Unfortunately for me, It took me three different groups to find one that met my needs.  the first group was too young and out there, the second turned out to be more of an executive meeting than a support meeting.  However, it was there that I met a couple who were also visiting that meeting and we have become good friends.  I went to the same meeting that she normally went to (completely closed and lead by a sociologist) and that one was a good fit.  Unfortunately it is quite a ways away so I can't make the meeting very often but its good when I can.

I remember the first meeting I went to @SaraAW.  Boy was I nervous!  But when I got there it all melted and all was good.  It was a small group and I have overdressed in a nice pair of slacks and top, with full makeup.  It was super casual with a dozen folks mostly younger than I.  Just be yourself and join in.  Everyone there was new at some point.

Cheers, Jani

That sounds like a good Idea, thank you. So far my goldfish hasn't shown any interest in the baby plecos.

Morning everyone. I survived the bus ride to school without feeling the eyes of my fellow peers on me. First class is P.E. but thankfully we went straight to the classroom today and skipped the locker room (My least favorite part of the day). Today is a half day so the day should fly by, anyways hope everyone's morning is swell. -Aidan

Well my time with my therapist was good. cleared my mind some. Also got some great advice. Hopefully I can act on it on Saturday. I want to have a sane discussion with my wife. Alone with out my youngest butting in. Sat is his poker night with the guys. SO I will be doing it then. I want to see why my wife went straight to the big D If I wanted to live as my true self. See her thoughts and explain mine. Hopefully it all goes well.

This is the dress I'll be wearing this evening while we watch the Kentucky Derby. Not sure if I'll throw on heels or flats with it - probably flats but I haven't worn heels in a while and the Force is strong.

Good morning, everyone!! I'm already on my 3rd cup of coffee and it's just 5AM. I can't imagine why no one else is here posting already!!??    It's supposed to be a cool day here with rain in the afternoon so no lounging outside for me. Our pool was opened yesterday so I'll make sure we have what we need to get it cleaned up and ready. The water temp is only about 60 right now so after I get the algae knocked down and the salt level right to begin making chlorine, I'll turn on the heater to warm it up. Probably a week before we'll be swimming.   Today is Kentucky Derby day so we'll put on dresses, hats and have a Mint Julep while we watch on TV.    Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given!!

I feel like it took a while to land in the 'middle zone', but it did happen. But obviously all those decades of testosterone poisoining take their toll, the middle zone is still preferable to the old life.

Everything that @MaybeRob said above is spot on with me too. The changes are much more subtle the older you start. I started HRT at 56 and of the feminine physical changes I experienced from HRT, 80% of all my changes happened by my 3 year mark. The other 20% of the changes are continuing still.   The feminine results I still see change happening in include: reduced and thinning arm, leg, and body hair, body fat redistribution to my hips and butt. There may be still some minor facial fat redistribution but at this point it’s getting harder to tell. The facial fat redistribution started after year 1. Also, I’m still on Progesterone which was added into my HRT regimen after year 1. I believe that is responsible for increasing the size and darkening the color of my nipples to a much more feminine look. I was happy about those changes because my BA procedure alone did nothing to improve that aspect of my breasts. I will be getting off Progesterone at the end of this year now that it has done its job. I will be 6 years on HRT this September. I’m guessing I may have a year or two left before all the expected changes will have occurred.   Hope that helps a little, Susan R🌷

Trans Group Zoom Meeting Tomorrow!!   It’s almost time for another Zoom Meet-up and I’m sure it’ll be another entertaining time to get together with others from our community. As usual, these meeting can last up to 4 hours or longer. Come when you can and leave whenever you want. The start times are listed below.   If you need a Zoom Link, Message me as soon as possible as I will be gone early all day tomorrow (Sat.). I will PM you a link here before I leave for the day tomorrow. See you all next week.   Have Fun! Susan R🌷   From Zoom Host AllieJ: We had 15 at our last zoom of April, with great discussions as usual. When there are this many people attending, we have to be a little stricter with keeping our talking time short and watching for hands up so everybody can contribute. Best is to use the electronic ‘Raise Hand’ so it is more visible.    Trans Group Zoom Meeting Times: May 4, 2024 6:00 PM Pacific Time May 4, 2024 8:00 PM Central Time May 5, 2024 11:00 AM Australia/Melbourne

Wow, Birdie, I hope you get better soon.  At least the nurses figured out that you're not their standard patient.  Hopefully they treat you right.     I wish my husband would replace our stoves.  Of course we use propane, being way out of town, but they're old.  They are supposed to use a battery igniter, but one hasn't worked in years.  There's actually a hole sawed in the bottom plate of the oven where I stick a match.  And the other one had some sort of valve problem, and couldn't get the parts.  I was hoping for a new stove, but I got to watch in awe and dismay as my husband made a "something" with a piece cut from a roll of bulk automotive gasket material.  It works, no leaks.  But I swear we don't replace anything here until it is absolutely dead.  With my luck, that will be another 20 years on those stoves.      I don't complain much, but I wish I had some nicer kitchen things.  Nobody understands that if I'm serving dinner for 36 people, cooking on sheetmetal plates or using stuff from a 1980s junkyard is a bit....suboptimal.  When I mention it, I get lengthy apocalyptic tales of the deprived life in Argentina or Mexico or "In Soviet Union, stove cooks you..."  Thanks, GF.  Or maybe I'm just too spoiled?

I do the best I can to 'Pass' and I think I have become better at feminizing my appearance ... But, I have also come to realize that no matter how much I feel I pass, it's more up to the individual I interact with than with my efforts and appearance. If they are self-aware humans they will see me as I truly am ... and then I will receive a compliment, or a 'Ma'am', or just a friendly smile.  That's all I really need.
    • MaybeRob
In my case, at almost 9 months, most changes have been very subtle. I was 60 when I started, and overweight. Also, I am not very observant when it comes to changes. In the last 3 months I have been on T blockers and breast growth have definitely started having suffered irregular "ouchies", but at the same time I have been slowly losing fat, so Bust measurements have not changed. What has changed in the density, I can feel a difference. Face wise the skin feels softer, and my lashes seem to be more visible. Head hair regrowth is a maybe- maybe not situation.  I do have to select men's clothing carefully to camouflage the change in breast shape. I guess I'm still at the not passable as a female stage especially with no makeup. I'm also over 6 foot and well over 100kgs which I guess is problematic to start with!   Hope this helps somewhat   Kate .
