I have been having a Teri me time on my phone and laptop on and off for a few days too.  I’d lose it for an entire dysphoria causing day.  Lol

i hate when I can’t check in and act semi smart. Lol

Seriously.  I have no idea why.

It's been happening to me too lately.

Hi

I was having trouble with my iPad getting to this site last week but not my computer.  But I did find that although typing the address wasn’t working searching the site would get a link that did work.  Then I noticed that it needed httpS://www.  Instead of just http://

now whether that was the fault of Apple or a change for the website I don’t know but all is good now for me.

Yay! Got my coffee, waiting on the bus for the kids then work. And thanks to Willows tip I’m on the boards in the morning! Hope everyone has a fabulous day.

Good morning! Slept poorly with the weirdest dreams last night. When I say weird, believe me they fall off the end of the strange scale! Got coffee, trying to get myself organized. Have a computer to nurse into functionality today. Oh joy.

I wish everyone a wonderful day.

I had late start as I had to go get a massive amount of blood drawn.

I swear they took half of it.  Then drove an hour to work.  I had to fast from yesterday noon so I am famished but coffee first.  LOL

I hope everyone has a great day!  Mine feels like it has not even started yet and I am way behind.

Good morning

beautiful blue sky and sunshine today.  For the older crowd, no lollipops.

drinking my morning joe.

going to try to get to water aerobics today.    No longer restricted but I have to be careful what I do while the bones finish healing.  Water increases the resistance while reducing the impact.  Doctor said that would be a good way to go.  I’m afraid yoga is out forever.

I don't know about the website but I generally use 'https'. That is a better thing to use as it is more secure than 'http'.

Morning all, today seems to be a good day.

Got my blood drawn to make sure my medicine is not jacking me up inside, hopefully it's not because it is really working. I had to fast for it and it was really tempting to lick to peanut butter off the knife as I was making my lunch, but somehow I managed to not haha.

Running late today. I was talking to Rey about her grand kids, then to Chloe about my surgery and it put my workout back about forty-five minutes. Time well spent in my opinion. I still got to my allergist in time for my shot. I probably should have eaten something before I left the house though; I was a little wonky when I stepped back through the door.

Wolfed down breakfast (I don't think I tasted it) and found my test results from yesterday are mostly done. They still need to finish the mercer culture. I spent all day yesterday getting that taken care of. The good news being that all my values are within normal tolerances. REALLY should have eaten more yesterday, they took a good five vials of blood out of me. I basically ATTACKED a Jimmy John's sub around 3:30 (I don't think I tasted that either) then skipped dinner because I'd just murdered a sub.

Today, I've just got my writing project and maybe some more food on the agenda. I've got some peach yogurt with my name on it and some pears that need to be eaten. It's a good day though. It'll be better when Jen tells me that she got my check and I'm good to go for surgery.

Hugs!

Hi Willow,

Sorry I missed it, but what happened to your bones?  Did you break something?

Hi. @lauraincolumbia I had surgery to fuse a joint in my big toe 6 weeks ago.  I had two large bone spurs, other arthritis and the joint was rubbing bone on bone. Walking had been painful prior to the surgery.  Now it feels great, but won’t be fully healed for another month.  I am released to wear a shoe at least.

water aerobics went well.

@TammyAnne yes I left out the rainbows but that’s because there weren’t any. Now I’ve had that song lyric stuck in my head all day.

Holy Moly the roads in Vermont are crappy this morning.  3.5 hours to drive a 1.5 hour commute.  Ran out of audio books and coffee!

Sigh

I hope everyone else is having a safe and warm day.

Cold, snow and slippery roads.  That’s why I moved south, just like the birds.

no coffee yet, but it’s coming.

Debra, Congrats on a successful surgery.

Shawna, Glad you made it through the commute especially with running out of coffee. Be safe going home.

Glad I don't have to do the long commute anymore.

Have a great day all.

My mom has been more accepting of me being trans lately and even promised i could get a binder if i pay with my own money. The preferred name is still an issue. So far my mom, close friends and brother know i identify as trans but no one else does. I recently told mr grandparents about my partner and explaines the perferred name as a nickname they prefer to have. Luckily everyone who knows is accepting but i feel like i still have so much progress to make. Started getting more uncomfortbale being reffered to as my deadname and she/her in public. My therapist is getting me a trans pin for my birthday next time I see her. I have hop but sometimes I feel like the goal is so far. HRT and top surgery are things i know i want but there has been warnings given to me about the problems that come with it from the ones that have accepted me and I trust most. Mainly from the adults in my life that know, also been getting nervous many people dont see me as a man but i also go to an all girl school. being consistenly reffered to as women has started to get to me and have had urge on several occasions to write perferred name on paper. i dont think pereffered name can go into school system due to being catholic school and for graduation diploma we have to contact the person in charge and ask. I just need some advice on what to do, I am thank ful for the advice everyone had given me, made me feel better about future and hope that I can transition but also worry about familial ties and affect. due to most f them being born in the 80's and 90's and not taking it well originally mostly based on my moms reaction. I love my family alot but how they might react is scaring me. my mom still donesnt want them to know. I know they love me but when I eventually come out and medically trasition in several years hopefully, what will happen? there are little kids in the family and I already dont see them a lot, how would their parents react? what would they say to the kids? I know my aunt would not take it well due to political belief and warnings from cousins.

Maybe.  But they'd probably resent being required to do it.   IDK.  You have to show ID to register already.  And you have to be registered to vote.

Hah! Woke up the Red Scare!   I’ve never read Marx. I tend to believe in the inherent goodness in people. I let their words and deeds change that. Insisting people are immoral/less than/should not exist, stripping them (or keeping them from) human rights, is an a most basic example of true evil. What evils do LGBTQ+ people present simply existing? How does the Right justify their crusade against us? What justifies the manufactured fear and loathing they spout every day about us?

Congrats on the new addition @Ivy I have the opposite I have 4 grandson and a granddaughter. 3 of whom are visiting this weekend. I am feeling better. I think the biggest thing is that I got some much needed sleep.   Well gotta go and speed sometime with the grandsons.   Kymmie

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.
