Mental Changes

The day I started estrogen is the day the noise in my head finally stopped.

A female brain doesn't work well running on T period!

Estrogen is the correct operating system for a female brain.

I could not have said it better, that is exactly the way it was for me with the added boost of for the first time in my life feeling more complete

than I ever had before. Notice I said more and not totally. Before I was always a negative person, but it seems now that has changed. I see

hope and chance in things I was once so negative about. My wife loves the fact that everything dose not make me mad anymore!!!!!!! On a

personal note HRT has helped me so so much mentally, so I pray it is also kind in other areas. Only time will tell !!!!!!!!

Lots of love, April

Call the mod police my topic has been hijacked... oh wait the mod police hijacked it

OOOPS - sorry Paula - that was me!

I did talk with my therapist. We think HRT changes the brain chemistry. I now want what women want, security and love. That means associating with a man for protection. That is more a mental change than a sexual preference, I think.

Mental changes

so much calmer and feel like there is finally a connection between my brain and my body - they don't match yet but they are laying down tracks ;)

I don't get so much aggressive as I do protective of people I care about and I am more confident to stand up and defend myself

The Testosterone definitely increases libido so it can go down for physical and mental - mental because you spend so much time thinking about it or thinking about how to not think about it

Physical changes - 7 months

more body hair - legs, arms, stomach, back, chest - face can catch up any day now <_<

some facial hair - lots of peach fuzz - starting to get darker

acne - boo

more muscle mass - soon I'll have guns :o (large biceps not a glock)

changes in fat distribution

increase in appetitie

deepening of voice

jaw is squaring up

skin is getting rougher

I found that since I been on Estrogen my depression has gotten worse. I feel really sad almost suicidal like I don't belong anywhere a freak.

Some girls do feel that the depression deepens at first, but if it is that bad you need to discuss this with a professional, you need to get past this and into feeling good.

Love ya,

Sally

Lots of changes physically...no doubt!

But the mental changes are surprising me!

Darcy and I used to be driving down the interstate and see a large simi flatbed carrying 2 new large combines (We live in farm country)

I would look at them and say..."OH, look! He's got two Massey Ferguson R927's with triple corn huskers and extending axles!"

Yesterday we saw the same thing and I said..."Lookie! A red tractor and a blue tractor!"

Oh, have I showed you my new shoes?

Thanks Davie! And don’t worry, I didn’t take it that way. It’s just such a big topic I can only hope to tackle it one bit at a time.

This is not uncommon.  I started out going to the therapist in androgynous clothing: from the women's department, but plausibly masculine.  What made it easier was when I started going to a trans peer support group.  Most of the people there were presenting fully feminine, so I looked out of place in my androgynous clothing.  The peer pressure made it easier to dress in skirts.   I started out changing in a gender-neutral bathroom near the meeting room.  But I soon started wearing skirts in the car to and from the meetings.   Yes, it was nerve-wracking at first, but I soon realized that no one was looking and no one cared.    You can do this.

In my last session my therapist is starting to suggest that I need to start exploring my gender identity in a more tangible way through wearing feminine clothing at least during sessions.  I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around her seeing me actually en femme.   I love and trust her, but the thought of being visibly feminine is scaring (and thrilling) me.  Is this a common thing in gender therapy?  How do I get past the fear?  More importantly, what should I wear?

USA doctors denounce Cass Report, support trans folks.  The Endocrine Society And American Academy Of Pediatrics Respond To Cass, Reject Bans. In recent weeks, the Cass Review out of the United Kingdom has been used to argue for bans on care. I felt the urge to date and felt just like a teenager again. I have recorded my journal titled Ashley's Life From Start to Present. I was very moody and agitated and happy. I think it was my body's way of being in shock. After about two months it got better. Remember that you aren't the only one transitioning because your wife is too. Consider yourself lucky because I lost mine because of it and so have many others. Just enjoy the ride.

I'm sorry for asking so many questions about your situation. I'm in your camp and believe you should be able to be whoever you feel you need to be. I guess it the Union Shop Stewart coming out in me. I want you to be treated fairly as well as respectably. You're human, you're a client of theirs. Especially if you're paying money to be there.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Views, terminology, and aspects of how events came to be....aren't those directly related to the news item?  If not, I'm rather confused.
