I would first like to say welcome , it took some time but I am glad I am here .   Took some time a workplace bullying , he could tell I was different , called me both a carpet muncher and a fagot . I am more into women and if I transition plan to keep it that way . Reporting it is key thanks to places like  Communities Against Hate on 4/26/2018 in Boston MA of all places  . Thanks to all the medical professionals at Fenway . Happy Thanksgiving to all .

Hello Kris, Welcome to TransPulse.  Glad you found us. We're here to discuss anything you feel comfortable with sharing about you and/or your journey.  I'm sure you'll meet many here that have had similar difficulties in the workplace. I'm sorry you had to experience this and I agree with you did the right thing by nipping this in the bud.

Take Care,

Hello Kris and welcome!  I'm not too far north of Boston and I go to Fenway too.  There is no need to put up with bullying.  Please join in the conversation.

Cheers, Jani

I have always found bully’s to be cowards, they need to be the center of attention and put someone down to make them feel good. They lack true inner peace and self-worth.  While my workplace bully is still there, the progressive discipline takes forever. But the key is the employer does not want the liability. Managers can lose their jobs and be liable for not stopping disgraceful behavior in the workplace , keeping a workplace free of fear is both smart from a business perspective but also in a productivity sense .  Work in government so the process is much slower. But most employers have rules of conduct as well as federal and state law. But for the most part he is now walking on eggshells, but not the first person he has done this to.  Keep a log and journal, take pictures, get a sound measurement app, witness, and report it to the chain of command and keep on doing it, keep your head held high and keep on moving forward. But love and happiness work and hate, envy, and spite does not.

I was an administrator with the State Of California where our rules in regard to Trans people date back nearly 20 years and I agree that the process in Civil Service seems to take forever for actually terminating as person, it does give management direct responsibility for creating a safe and non-hostile workplace.  As a manager my employees actions reflected on me so I had to be on top of things as well.  I had the real experience of a hostile environment affecting one group with numbers I had to provide to my higher managers with a sad look on my face.  I did get very busy.  This was long before I was out as Trans, so it was down and dirty personal.

I was state before now federal .  The sad thing is this guy has a role with the general public but behind the scenes.  I involved EEO and an anti violence program at work .  He gets away with it because his boss is 1,000 miles away or I should say did .

Having taken on the site, forums, and all of the bills, from Dev (May 2020) and because I also want to be fully transparent about the cost of running the site, I feel it's time to update this information. Sorry that it has taken me two years since I last gave an update, just life getting in the way.   If you'd like to donate, please do so via the green bar at the top of the forum pages.  The months of July through October are pretty heavy with annual and semi-annual expenses and every little bit helps.   Here's the breakdown as it stands now:   Chat is now free. (Stu now runs the Chat)   Regular Charges: There are occasional one off's as well. Forums:  $70.00 every six months (February and August, effectively billed in January and July). (Was $45 until 2022, support ticket system depreciated!) Resource Locator:  $53.00 yearly, this "widget" failed this year, so I have been able to find a (currently) free replacement. Resource Locator Mapping: Google maps, currently under the minimum monthly usage, so free. Email Delivery: $5.00 monthly currently free, changed to a service that offers a much larger monthly allowance. Server Rental:  $30.00 monthly. Greatfully sponsored by The Breast Form Store. Security Software:  Now included in the package we have. Domain Renewals: Approx $75 annual charges for Transgenderpulse.com, Lauras-playground.com and the server domain. Contact Us Form Software: $79 yearly (August).   Total Monthly Breakdown: $54.50 per month.  (Annual bills = $654) Updated May 2024 (Slightly down on previous years).   Now then.  I'm on a fixed income, which means I know what it's like not having a penny to spare.  If you're not in a position to donate, please don't feel guilty; I didn't take over here to turn a profit.  The lights will stay on.  Donations are very much appreciated, but they are not a requirement of membership.   An update to clarify a couple of points: Because you have to use your legal name with PayPal, emails confirming your donation from PayPal will be from a name with the initials "DS", not Petra Jane and the email used is tgp (at) uk-web***   Unfortunately, we can only accept payment through PayPal, and please ensure that you have permission to make any donation through a PayPal account, we have been stung by someone alledgedly using a PayPal account without the owner's permission and incurred an additional $20 chargeback to refund the donation!   We have recently seen a number of these of late so I am asking that genuine donators please add your forum username in the comment box so that I, and I alone, will know who has sent the donation and that it is genuine. Thank you. Also, this appears only to Members who are logged in on the forums, New Members need to have made a minimum of 10 posts.   Let me reassure you: Donations help towards ongoing costs related to keeping the site running, including hosting, bandwidth, etc. It also encourages us to commit regular updates, add features, and improve the service. Our promise to you is that this site and its use will always remain free of charge.     Petra Jane

This is the dress I'll be wearing this evening while we watch the Kentucky Derby. Not sure if I'll throw on heels or flats with it - probably flats but I haven't worn heels in a while and the Force is strong.

Good morning, everyone!! I'm already on my 3rd cup of coffee and it's just 5AM. I can't imagine why no one else is here posting already!!??    It's supposed to be a cool day here with rain in the afternoon so no lounging outside for me. Our pool was opened yesterday so I'll make sure we have what we need to get it cleaned up and ready. The water temp is only about 60 right now so after I get the algae knocked down and the salt level right to begin making chlorine, I'll turn on the heater to warm it up. Probably a week before we'll be swimming.   Today is Kentucky Derby day so we'll put on dresses, hats and have a Mint Julep while we watch on TV.    Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given!!

I feel like it took a while to land in the 'middle zone', but it did happen. But obviously all those decades of testosterone poisoining take their toll, the middle zone is still preferable to the old life.

Everything that @MaybeRob said above is spot on with me too. The changes are much more subtle the older you start. I started HRT at 56 and of the feminine physical changes I experienced from HRT, 80% of all my changes happened by my 3 year mark. The other 20% of the changes are continuing still.   The feminine results I still see change happening in include: reduced and thinning arm, leg, and body hair, body fat redistribution to my hips and butt. There may be still some minor facial fat redistribution but at this point it’s getting harder to tell. The facial fat redistribution started after year 1. Also, I’m still on Progesterone which was added into my HRT regimen after year 1. I believe that is responsible for increasing the size and darkening the color of my nipples to a much more feminine look. I was happy about those changes because my BA procedure alone did nothing to improve that aspect of my breasts. I will be getting off Progesterone at the end of this year now that it has done its job. I will be 6 years on HRT this September. I’m guessing I may have a year or two left before all the expected changes will have occurred.   Hope that helps a little, Susan R🌷
