I Need Hormones!

I'm getting SO impatient to start hormones. I can't start until I'm out of the house and on my own, so I still have over two years until I can even start the process, assuming (mainly predicting) that my parents don't come around and do what's best for me. I don't know how I can last much longer without T. It constantly gives me anxiety knowing that irreversible damage is being done to my body as I'm typing this, and I don't have anything to stop it. I'm scared that since I waited so long, T isn't going to do much for me. I'm scared that my hips will still be too large to be able to pass at a pool or on a beach. I'm scared of getting top surgery because the scars are just a flashing sign, "HEY! I'M TRANS!" which I don't want. I don't know, there's so much frustration and so much anxiety and worry that it's suffocating. I wish that my parents were open-minded enough to where we could've prevented all of this from the get-go.

Aiden, there is not so much to worry about as you fear.  We have some trans men here, and I know a whole bunch IRL, who look fantastic and feel great and are living great lives, and none of them transitioned until their 20's or much later.  JJ, our Moderator, transitioned when he was past 60.  Now, I'm not saying you need to wait until then!  But your fears of irreversible damage are unfounded.  So please try to relax.  It will happen, and you'll be all right.

Yes take a deep breath.  You'll be fine waiting a little longer.  T is a powerful hormone and you will be pleased with your results when you start.  Please don't stress.
