Ok all. I would like to know if anyone here has used estrogen cream? And if so, how effective was it. I am asking because I was talking to my pharmacist today and he said the cream is very effective and it is much cheaper. So let me know your opinions all. Thanks and hugs!

Its another transdermal delivery method, similar to patches.  I think the time frame for applying it is daily but I could be wring.  You might talk to your endo doctor and discuss this to see if its something to pursue.

I've only used the estrodile pills sublingual. They worked well enough and when administered in this fashion they are not as hard on the liver as simply swallowing them. I don't know how well the cream works, but I wouldn't imagine it's bad but I don't have experience with it to say one way or another.

I used an over-the-counter estradiol cream on my own before my physician started me on oral estradiol. I had modest results with it, probably because it comes in a small dose without a prescription. If you're talking about a prescription strength version, it's a more efficient delivery method and bypasses the liver, because it goes straight into the blood stream through capillaries near the skin surface.
