Have a Readiness Assessment coming up. What is it?

Has anyone done a Readiness Assessment ? I have one scheduled on Wednesday. The VA LGBTQ coordinator set it up before I see my new PCP about HRT.  I am also going to see him and see what other services the VA has for the transgendered. Then to another counseling session. Wed is another day filled with appointments.

I don't know what it entails as I've not done one but I can't imagine it would be too stressful for you.  I hope your day goes well.

It was about If I was ready for HRT. Seems that I passed. She is going to do a letter and put it in my medical file.

The therapist I saw was the one I mentioned had quite a bit of Knowledge on LGBT. It seems like I am going to be transferred to her. For my continuing care. My current therapist is changing to another area of MH.

 

I found out from the LGBT coordinator that if HRT doesn't give me the girls I am wanting I can get prosthetic through the VA. He also told me that providing bottom surgery is on the table again for consideration.

Yep. On the path. I see my GP about HRT a week from Friday. The 22nd. Can't wait.

Hi Kymmie, I remember that wait up until my first appointment to get HRT.  I felt like I was counting down the days til Christmas when I was a kid.  It's was crazy but well worth the wait.
