Am I Genderqueer or FtM?

I am a 13-year-old who is confused about whether they are genderqueer or FtM. I like the pronouns He/him and I prefer boyish clothes and short hair, in short, I look more like a boy and prefer boy stereotype things. Also, I enjoy girlish things like cute stuffed animals, dramas, romance, chick flicks, makeup (Once in a while just to get rid of acne and whatever), and singing in a high voice to female songs. Another thing is I want to get top surgery but not bottom surgery but that may be because I'm scared. I act like a girl in a lot of social ways, is that normal? I want to know what everyone else thinks.

Completely in our range of life, but whether we count as normal depends on who you ask.  The Trans population  that I knew 20 years ago (a bit before your time) was nothing like the group we have today.  When I give talks to parents of young and even younger people, I include a group that is now considered to be Gender Expansive, which means they have and do choose the best gender expressions for themselves even if it neither traditionally male or  female, a combination of the two, or even neither.  At 13, without some other considerations being involved, put the surgery ideas on the back burner, although if your parents and medical team are supportive they may let you opt for Puberty Blockers until you are a few years further along even though they normally was to start those at about 11 years old.  That would keep your upper area from getting too big until other things can be done.  Look around here and you will see things I have been talking about, and welcome to the Forums.

Hello!  At this time in your life it is natural to question.  We are going through physical and mental changes and it can be hard to sort things out.  But don't despair.  You will live through this period of life and shine!  Be open to all opportunities you come across.  There are no rules that say what girls and guys must like and do.  Have fun.
