Idle, I cannot bare it more

In this purgatory

My heart it slowly dies

It yearns and aches for more

Yet change it scares me so

To know not which way to go

Like being trapped in a room with three doors

Situation: The Twilight Zone

 

Some doors go one way

On this track you can't turn back

Let go this place of loathing

It vanishes beyond the threshold

The point of no return

You know you cannot stay in this place of sorrow

Yet it's familiar, it's all you know

 

So afraid, so naive... like a child

Let yourself be free, love yourself so wild

You are not alone, your inner spirit glows

Just breathe, she says so soft and gentle

You know we'll be ok

 

Hand in hand, we rise to our feet

With graceful embrace we stand

and take our confident, courageous, assured step

Into the great unknown

I wrote this after much deliberation (some of which we had dialogue on in this forum, thank you all for helping me sort it out and for being so supportive) in my reservations on pursuing HRT. I decided to go for it btw. I feel I must to be as truly, freely me as I can. 

 

I wrote it as a reflection of the preoccupations I had, and the conviction I came to realize. To remind myself I need to pursue this, and no matter what-I will be ok! 

 

This could speak to other unknowns and fears we face in our lives as well.
