Hi, I'm Cassie

I recently figured out my true identity, and feel very alone. I've started therapy, and she's wonderful, but I can only see her once a week for an hour. I just want to communicate with others like me, if there are any, or at least a sympathetic ear. I'm a girl in the wrong body, stuck living in a place where I can't be my true self. As an additional cosmic joke I like girls, as a lesbian, not a hetero male. I'm aware that makes no sense.

I'm really just looking to make friends to have someone to talk to.

Hi Cassie, from what you have written you are going to fit into this place very well, so get looking, reading, and throwing your own voice into things.  The fact you have a counselor is one of the best things we hear, especially since you say you have only recently identified your True Self.   Sexuality is the least of your concerns since being Trans is not primarily about having sex.  Other things are more important, but yes, you sound like one of us.

Hi Cassie,

Welcome to Transpulse. I'm glad you're here!

I think we all felt very alone when we first accepted that we are trans. I know I did. But you're not alone anymore. We've got each other now!

Lots of love and a big welcome hug,

Timber Wolf ??

Hi Cassie,

I am in the same boat, in some ways.  I am attracted to girls.  I've spent my whole life being fed guys should like girls, and I've never really considered being attracted to men.  What you are going through may not make a lot of sense, but if you are like me you have some growing to do.  What doesn't make sense now, may make perfect sense later.  It's kinda like how people used to think evil spirits caused disease, but now we know it is tiny little germs.  Give yourself time, and discover yourself a little more each day.

Thank you for saying that. It feels good to know there's a place where I can be accepted. :)

Thank you! One reason I feel alone is that I'm a city girl, but I've been moved to a very small, conservative town and I'm totally out of my element. I think your website will be very helpful.

Hi Cassie.  I found that reading about others and posting about my own journey was a great help in self acceptance.  We are all on different paths but the ability to be honest without being judged is wonderfully helpful.

Glad you've joined us.  Enjoy this journey!

Hugs,

Charlize

A bit late in updating, but I've had the draft of the official diagnosis and have (as yet unconfirmed) an endo consultation next month.   Next to arrive will be the supporting documentation for my new passport application for my correct gender.  This will then be my official ID for all the other updates - bank, tax, payroll etc.   It just feels good to to be proactive again rather than waiting for other people to move at a leisurely pace.

I like ELF brand cosmetics, I can pick them up at JC Penny.    I wear makeup everyday, but mostly just very light makeup.

Hi Mae Be, whenever it comes to makeup, there are so many different bands to choose from. Picking out the right makeup comes with trial and error, until you find one that works for you and blends well with your skin tone, some makeup products can leave the skin feeling oily. It's a good idea to look at the labels on the makeup product to know what the creators put in the makeup, just in case skin allergies. Once you found the makeup brand, you can add it to your shopping list, good luck

To be fair I’m pretty lost when it comes to makeup technique. I’ve watched videos, but I have no idea what works for or would help my features. So I just bungle along, hoping I don’t look terrible.
