Hobbies

Recommended Posts

Well i was curious about how you guys feel for my issue here. i have a very masculine hobby and i also feel i would have to give up on that hobby if i decided to come out. my hobby is mini bikes and go karts and im afraid if i did wear womans clothing while riding them i might lose some freinds and be looked at weird. also its a very dirty hobby because something always is broken or greasy. But if i were to come out it would 100% be on a go kart but i would have to get all dressed up first and get a wig and figure out makeup.

Careful if you wear a dress, they can get got in the chain/belt or spokes. Major wardrobe malfunction, you'll REALLY be out then, lol! xp

Motorsports are often labelled masculine, but you see alot of gals into it these days too. I think it's awesome!

On a side note, I always loved woman's bike frames, that lowered crossbar makes it so much easier to get on the old Schwinn's. It'd be pretty rad to put a little twin cycle engine on one (transition goals)...

I've found with time that i can do everything i did as a woman that i enjoyed doing as a man.  Times have definitely changed.  It would have been different when women were more homebound but today it's not an issue.

I've got a cute '64 Vespa 150 that fills that role so well.  It's just getting licensed and while  i know i should wear protective clothing i'm looking forward to going to the market in a skirt.

Most Tomboy’s  that I’ve seen riding  mini bikes and go carts, do not dress too feminine, they wear clothes able to take the dirt, mud and oil. I’m not saying how you should dress, just giving you my own observations. Check out other women that have similar hobbies, and maybe that could help?

Best of luck with your transitioning!

I am an avid rider. That was always thought of as masculine. But there’s plenty of girls that ride now. There’s plenty of girls into motor sports and racing too. Don’t let society pigeonhole you. Do your thing and done apologize for it.

There are no boundaries as long as you are safe.  Lots of women enjoy "masculine" activities and many men like "feminine" activities.  Don't fret over it.

BTW I am still active with my car hobby.

I am a car nut, pure and simple. Will I stop it once I transition. Not on your life. I also ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles. If that isn't masculine  I don't know what is. I will still wheel my Street Glide. Building model cars, yep still gonna do that.

I haven't seen a hobby or sport a female hasn't done. I wouldn't worry to much. Who says you have to dress any different from what you do already. Whose to know what you wear underneath  either. ?

Well for just normal riding i wouldnt wear a long dress and i would still wear a wig or long hair but ponytailed most likely it would be in some leggings but i would have a dedicated pair. You guys really make me feel like i could come out but i dont think im quite ready.

I love to play World of Warcraft, Dungeons & Dragons. I love to throw the football, play some basketball, build sandcastles, ski, make things out of paracord, ride bikes, and other things. If anybody told me it was too masculine or too feminine , I would put them in check. If my friends had a problem with me, I would tell them they do t have to join.

Although it would be hurtful, I don’t want people that are mean or @$$*’s in my life. Don’t need it, don’t want it.

There are lots of women around here who ride bikes. It's very uncommon for them to wear skirts though. Generally the clues are almost down to slight differences in build or even riding style as the clothes they wear are pretty much identical, even men occasionally wearing feminine coloured helmets (eg pink!).

While in the closet i spent some years as a licensed buckle racer.  I loved the fact that i could wear skin tight leggings over shaved legs and colorful team shirts.  Unfortunately my heart couldn't take it. Fortunately the growth of blood supply to my heart due to the intensity of the sport probably kept me alive through several heart attacks.

I have a cute skort cycling outfit in my drawer that i hope to be able to wear someday if my Dr. says yes.  I'll just have to lie back and watch the kids go past.

I feel like coming out so bad but cant bring my heart to it. Most likely when my mom becomes a truck driver if ever i will come out to my dad as transgender im a very strong confident person usually but when my girly side comes out im a bit shy and shake alot. I have already ridden a toy on my mini bike but thats the most ill ever do outside besides mabey wear legging under pants but im too scared of doing that. It feels so natural to cross dress and i really feel like exploring beyond in my room but dont have the guts to do it.

It is often best to stay in ones comfort zone.  Times may change and in the future you may or may not feel like you need other ways to feel right about yourself.  I know i waited much of my life to even start a gender exploration.

I was afraid of going out even in a pair of well hidden panties.  It just wasn't my time.

I haven't ridden a two-wheeler of any sort since sometime around completing high school.  However, it terms of hobbies, my spouse and I hunt and fish as much season and time permit.  I also enjoy target shooting.  Functionality,  not fashion, is the norm for those hobbies, although area- or season-specific camouflage apparel can lead to a more successful hunt.

Quite true.  The amusing thing about opposites is how similar they can be.   My family left Greece because of the conflict between the communists and the militarists/fascists.

This wouldn't even be a problem if they would just leave us alone.  It is a no-brainer.

OMG.  I'm glad it wasn't worse, and you were able to get on it quickly.  Lots of blood can be scary.

Like I said, I'm no tankie, but I do see a world of difference between Joseph Stalin and Bernie Sanders.   If the point is not wanting 'government control' the Right is pretty good at that themselves - as they've been demonstrating lately. This stuff gets complicated.

So, I am curious. Is the Governor going to mandate vaginal or penile recognition photos before one enters the restroom? Considering the Governor has no balls to do the right thing, will he have to pee against a tree outside? Inquiring minds would like to know. I love it when the job recruiters contact me about the wonderful jobs available in Oklahoma. It is so much fun telling them there is no way I will ever go to Oklahoma. When there are no workers, then they can shutter the place.

Ngl, probably Sonic the Hedgehog, the Beatles, or the Monkees. Those are the three subjects I know the most about so I could drop hours of info on them.

Thank you! I'm out of coffee so I have been drinking hot tea instead. Looking forward to the 1st. It's crazy that we are almost in May. This year has flown by really quick! Good to hear that y'all got to sleep in. Hope you have a good weekend too!
    • Ashley0616
It's nice to care about others but you need to live your life as you please. No one be your only source of happiness. Love yourself and don't look back. I lost over 40 family members it hurts but apparently, they didn't truly love me. True love will always be there through the thick and thin. I can honestly say that HRT has made me think in ways that I never thought I would. I get myself some shoes or clothes every month because retail therapy not only helps but it is a reward to myself to show love. I have over 100 dresses. I have a whole walk-in-closet full of clothes and 67 pairs of shoes. I love who I am. I was born in 84 so not all people in the 80's think that way. As far as the name just take your time and be happy with it. I knew I loved the name Ashley. Take care and welcome!

Congratulations Sam,   The common saying her once someone starts HRT is: “Enjoy the ride.”   Best wishes, stay positive and motivated    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

WOW @Ashley0616 it’s good that you have skills to treat traumatic injuries, as well as the ability to remain calm while managing others needs to get yourself and the boys ready to go to the hospital. Proud mama bear skills. I’m glad that he’s doing well.    Meanwhile back at the ranch, we slept in and I’m just now finishing my 3rd cup of coffee.    Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Well yesterday was not fun. I was getting ready to make dinner and I hear screaming and crying. I look over and my son put his foot through glass. He gashed near his Achilles tendon. Thankfully that is intact. I didn't freeze for a second. All of my military training came into play. I doctored him up and got Jett ready and myself and we headed to the ER. He is doing ok today. He says he is in pain but doesn't need Tylenol. He is a tough cookie!

Hi,   It's seems today is my trans birthday.  I'm beyond excited. Just picked up my testogel from the pharmacy. Although I naturally have doubts as I'm sure do we all, they are rapidly disappearing. Yesterday I was so nervous I kept claiming I'm not trans, despite grinning like a fool knowing I can pick up my prescription the next day. I'm shaking and on the verge of happy tears. I will put on my first sachet this eve. Thanks so much to this forum and kind words from people. This is the first forum I found when I began seriously questioning.
