STP question

Hey guys, so it's probably been covered but I'm having an issue with my prosthetic where the paint is coming off the bottom side of the shaft. I've had it less than three weeks and have not used it every day. (No rough activity with it either; simply packing and STP function). I'm disappointed because it's peacock brand genx and I was under the impression the quality was decent with their products...especially for the price.

Is the paint coming off from packing or what? I thought they were supposed to last a lot longer before showing wear.

 

Got advice on how to avoid further damage?

I see there haven't been any words of wisdom yet in response here, so I've asked the guy who runs our chat side if he has input.  Worth a shot anyway; he knows all.

I would certainly contact the manufacturer or seller to determine what their warranty is.  I can't imagine this is normal for a product as new as this.

Hello!  Heard back from Stu, and he said he's never heard of this issue with STPs from any manufacturer.  His advice is to contact the manufacturer and tell them there's obviously a defect in the one they shipped you, as this shouldn't be happening.  Even if they normally don't allow returns - and in the US, health codes would prevent them - they should be willing to replace an obviously faulty item.

 

If they refuse to work with you, he said the other option is to tell folks far and wide that this manufacturer puts out terrible quality items.  Word of that kind of thing spreads quick in this community.
