Using Ace Bandages To Bind

So, I know how bad using ace bandages to bind are, but it’s really my only option qwq

I signed up for free chest binders and am waiting for a reply

As hard as it is to wait for the actual binder, please please please wait for the binder to come.  In the years I have been involved in the Trans community I have known people who have hurt themselves badly, gangrene and rib fractures being two items in the stew, with actual permanent lung injuries coming along as well.  A good jogging bra will help some if you combine it with tops that are larger than what you usually wear.  Just NO ACE bandages.  We will be happy to talk to you and discuss things with you and help you ride out the storm but we cannot say OK to self harm.

I agree with Vicky 110%. When I've worn ace bandages for injuries, they get uncomfortable real fast.  The compression they provide is not like a binder, but is much more severe.   You've made it this far, hold on a little longer, please.

I have to agree. I’m currently not out at work and as a result I have been trying to conceal my growth (and it’s getting more difficult because I got “excuse us miss” yesterday morning) so I just use a decent sports bra and wear a compression shirt and then an athletic shirt on top of that. It works... mostly. But since yesterday morning I’m finding that I might not be able to conceal anything much longer without a binder. Binders work better.

Ace bandages are not a good idea. It’s difficult to even get them wrapped correctly without assistance and they can create all the problems and injuries already mentioned. I entertained the idea briefly but quickly changed my mind. As soon as the weather cools off I will probably use a binder myself until I actually have a safer job. Then I’ll ditch the whole convoluted hiding approach and just let things be the way they are.

Eek! I decided to just wait for a binder, as I had just put on a regular bra the other day and felt WAYYY more comfortable. Plus the bandages kept slipping and it was just a mess!!

It takes us a while to learn, and we do get impatient, but it is worth the wait.

Right now I’m just wearing a sports bra and I also use athletic shirts over a compression shirt. It’s not really the best thing but it’s working sort of. I have a binder that looks like a tank top but I only have one and I have to step into it. It’s pretty tight. I can’t really be that restricted at work so it’s only for when I’m just about ready to pass but don’t quite have everything for it yet.

I wear leisure racerback bras, They are inexpensive unpadded pullovers nylon-spandex and will remove any pointiness and jiggles. You can message me if you need any further information. We aren't suppose to advertise any specific products here.

I saw this concert in which it is said that the famous phrase of Jon Landau "I saw the future of rock and roll and his name is Bruce Springsteen" comes from that night. By the way Bruce opened for Bonnie Raitt that night and she was the better performer . . . just sayin'.

Astronomy and astrophotography.  I have done a few public presentations on the subject and could most likely wing it for an hour without putting you to sleep.   On the other hand if you need a sleeping pill, I could also talk for an hour about flying and you'd be out cold.

Please consider joining us, even if it's just for a few minutes to see what the meetings are like. I've learned so much, had so much fun and gained confidence in myself just by being a part of this amazing group of people. It's a low key, no pressure, non-judgmental chance to just be among people who are supportive, understanding and affirming of each other.    I'm travelling out of state and still planning on dropping in for awhile.    Come see what it's like!!

Thank you, Susan!! It was such an amazing experience for me. I can't remember if I even talked about it on a Zoom meeting.   Here is the link to the post I made about it. And, again, thank you for helping to give me the courage to do it.

Good morning coffees   This probably doesn’t exactly apply to me because you wouldn’t have found a more shy and conservative person than me.  I was perhaps less shy before my sister started complaining about me doing things that were hers to do. And I would become embarrassed and that was the end of that.   upstairs unit got their typical weekend visitors in the middle of the night last night.  They woke me up.  They have little consideration for being in a condo community and the neighbors being in such close proximity.   @awkward-yet-sweet , how goes the job with your husband’s boss?  I don’t recall you saying much about it this week, but I could have missed a post along the way.  If I recall you were supposed to meet with him last Monday.   @KymmieL I hope you are feeling better.     Yes, I find it to be wrong that just because a car part says Ford or Chevrolet on the box that same part with Lincoln or Cadillac on the box cost a lot.more.  I know there are differences in the upscale brands such as the engine and drivetrain in the Caddy and of course the interior fit and finish.  But it’s the same body with things crammed in the same way under the hood.     well, time to finish my coffee, fix my hair and made my way across the street to work.    willow
