Thinking about changing my name

So, I’ve gone by ‘Alex’ for almost a year, but for some reason it doesn’t seem to fit anymore. I need some help! My family has basically gotten used to Alex and I don’t know what to do or what would be a good name for me! I still like the name Alex but I just don’t know!!!

I think ALex is a nice name its unisex too. I changed my name to Tashia-Mai then realised i spelled it in a way people say my name wrong. my name should be pronounced Tay-She-Ah-May. But people call me Tash-E-Ah-May lol oh i would pick a name you like cause once you change by deed poll thats it you stuck with it unless you want to pay again

Pay? Who does that now.

 

You just need a stat dec. You can make it yourself. A couple of signatures and your good to go.

I Never paid a penny to change mine. That document. was accepted by the DVLA the bank, The NHS, Plus all the others.

Alex is an excellent name, yes unisex but also quite manly and at some time down the road you may want to just be called Al, which is as masculine as it gets.

On this side of the pond most states require a court judge to sign off on an official name change to make it legal, not a big deal nor is it expensive.

If you don't want to go by Alex, may I suggest looking a baby name lists or even names that go by A in general. you can just google that

Maybe im a little out of date. Please advise me the new legislation or where it says you need to pay for a deed poll and a stat dec is no longer legal proof. For me to aquiant myself. ?

I used a stat Dec. I have never had an issue. But that was 5 years ago. However i have not heard of any change in the law
