Body piercing?

I was wondering if there are many here that have had any piercings done.  I had several about 10 years ago and was getting a bit crazy over it.
Ive done all my own too so it wasn’t a quick pierce n go sort of thing.
Some were quite slow and painful.  (Maybe this post belongs in the self harm section.  Not sure.)
However I did both nipples, left ear in two spots, end of my penis both top and bottom of its end.  I also had my tongue  pierced too but I had a professional do that one.
Ive since let all these heal over though at one point I was using a fairly heavy gauge jewelry so I still have some holes.   One of which is...well...let’s just say I can put two fires out with one hose.
Anyone else?

I haven't but would like to hear more about how to. Never had any piercings but really want to get some.

Any advice anyone could give would be great.

My advice is standard for about everything we Trans folks do.  Seek a professional who has a good reputation and a clean shop to do this.  Piercings are suppose to be a quick thing and it is not all that painful afterwards.  My way was a bit painful.  Ok a lot painful.  But secretive for certain areas on my body.

I got my ears done in Claires (A UK Shop) when i was about 17. Both ears. One in each. I always fancied having my nose done. But I still havent got round to it. Yes get them done by someone who knows what they are doing. If its a shop then at least you have some comeback if it all goes south. or you need some extra advise.  I can recall its mainly keeping them clean and giving them a twist once in a while to ensure they dont crust up and start to close.

Before that a girl done one for me. Lump of ice and a sterile needle. But that didnt go so well as it got all sorts of infections. In the end i let it heal up. It was more trouble than it was worth. Not Good.

I wouldnt have them anywhere else. To be honest seeing a shirtless guy with his nipples pierced makes me cringe.

OMG.. The crust is the worst.  Its like sending a fence post threw any piercing hole you have.  Talk about pain..

I only have my ears done now. I had both nipples and at one time three below the belt. I had to take out my nipples when I had a MRI with my blood clots. Holes closed fast. I got them done in the late 90s so go figure.

All mine have been done by the same shop. My piercer was professionally trained and was then a trainer herself. She even took anatomy classes to be a better one.  The original shop owner(tattoo artist) and his wife( piercer) actually co-wrote the tattoo and piercing health standards for the State of South Dakota. They are some of the best if not the best in the country.Because they where written by people in with the knowledge of the art.  Many other states have adopted them also.

I would go to a reputable professional. One where every piece of equipment is autoclave sterilized. Never uses a gun and fairly sharp studs that is forced into your ears. A one person use only needle. One that will answer any question you have. One who takes their profession seriously. Explains after care. Crusties are one painful problem that can happen.

One who knows that a tongue piercing in the wrong place could cause serious health problems. Same with an Eye brow. one in the wrong place could cause what is called dry socket a serious health problem.

Now off my high horse, ( riding side saddle of course) LOL

Sweet. Zombie. Jesus. That hurts just to read.

I've had some tattoo work done and I'm thinking about getting more when I hit my weight goals but gah! My sister-in-law has a clit piercing though. I cannot even imagine. Hard pass. Nope. Nope. Nope.

Then again, I'm going in to get my genitals reconfigured in a couple of months so it's probably all in my head.

Hugs!

Jackie, the piercing down below wasn't that painful at all almost just a sharp pinch. I do plan on getting my navel done once I lose a few more.

I’m thinking this too.  Be a long while but it’s on my radar.

I've thought about nipple piercing and maybe my left ear. Not totally sure yet though as I haven't started any HRT.

Great thread though! Haha

I have had a lot of piercings and have some tattoos. Last piercing I got was my nose. Next will be ears again.
Funny thing, I have my frenum pierced (nsfw piercing), after being on hrt it became too uncomfortable to keep jewelry in :(
I will probably try different jewelry, I would like to keep it for now.

I have always liked the small tiny nose piercing too.  Not a ring through the middle hanging out the nostrils but just a tiny one off to one side.  I find them quite attractive.  I may get this done once I am full time.

I have my left ear done and have been wearing a diamond stud in it.  It definitely stands out being near 1/2 carat.

I had pierced my right ear a week ago.  Myself.  No ice.  LOL

But I had to remove it as my wife noticed it did not look even from one ear to the other.  So I will have that one done by a pro to make sure its even once the hole is healed over good.

I have both my nipples, my tounge (neither of which I wear anymore). I still wear a 2 gauge prince albert. An 8 gauge apadravia. A 10 gauge guiche. I don't wear my loreum ring anymore.

When I 'dress up' I will put my septum nose ring in.

Oh I do still have large holes in my ears but o ly wear regular ear rings through them. I use to have them pierced up and down but toned that down as I got older.

I have considered doing my navel since I don't wear my nipple rings and my nipples are kind of soar these days..

Thank you for sharing, @Mealaini, and welcome.    I appreciate your description of IFS and your book recommendation. I have a few close friends who are very enthusiastic about IFS and my therapist is incorporating some of those elements into my therapy.    -Timi

Leg hair.  Shaving it was a surprisingly big decision.  (Not as big as the beard tho)  After I did it a few times, it's never really grown back.  Haven't shaved them in a couple of years and you'd never know it.  A daughter living with me doesn't shave hers, and she is much furrier than I ever was.     I don't exactly hate my living as a guy in the past.  TBH, I was never quite there anyway.  But I just dropped it.  I live full time fem, and it would bother me a lot to go back to being a guy.  But I don't have to appease family or an employer.

@Loreleiit always sucks getting a ticket for passing a slower vehicle. I'm guessing the police officer was some distance behind you until you performed your passing maneuver. My most costly ticket was from a similar situation, however we were heading out of town and the last straight stretch of road to pass the two slower vehicles ahead of me was still in a 35mph zone. I didn't see the officer behind me and as soon as I pulled out to pass he turned on his lights and siren. Since I was in the process of passing, I figured the next safe place to pull over was at the upcoming roadside park. He didn't accept that and wrote me up for passing two gaps, speed in excess of 15mph over, and failure to stop. He did not care to hear about any fellowship in public safety, and no professional curiosities would be honored.  I did go to court plead my case and the judge, and he did see my point of continuing to pass with the intentions of pulling over safely at the roadside park. He was very familiar with the location. This allowed him to drop the failure to stop charges, but I did have to pay the full 15mph over speeding ticket. So my lesson learned was to never pass when entering or leaving a small town or village.   Hugs, and good luck in court.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

Marriage complicates things.  We think we know someone… but then we don't. My ex supports me, but we're certainly not married.  She actually took me out for dinner a couple days ago. But if I said I didn't miss her it would be a lie.  That part is still hard. The hard truth is I had to get away from her, to have the freedom to find myself. Maybe it won't be that way for y'all.

Kymmie, it's hard to think of her as an ally when she's still re-posting anti-trans information. On the flip side my wife is supportive of everyone else in the LGBTQIA community, and reluctantly supporting me.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I'm sorry you and so many others in the military, were assaulted and bullied, just for being who you are. I'm glad that you've seen your old therapist and seem to be better since 2001.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

@Sally Stone This is a great thread and resonates with me as well. Please keep it going!   +1 on leg hair. Mine basically stopped growing on its own in my early 30s (cause unknown), but I prefer the look. Was never comfortable with body hair.
