She probably would if I'd asked for it, but I'm pretty happy with my girls. They've got two more years to reach full strength. I was a late bloomer with puberty v.1.0. I want to give the girls time to come into their own.

Hugs!

@Jackiec

hoping for the best possible outcome. Hmm somehow that didn’t come out right!  Lol.

I love your sense of humor and great attitude! I shouldn’t say I’m Looking forward to your lessons learned column, actually hoping there are no more lessons to learn. Best of luck!

This is just a revision. My labia didn't heal right among other things. Doctor Rumer offered to put things to rights on her dime so I'm grateful I get to do this without... well, there's still a four digit price tag, but that's all hospital staff, airline fees (big lesson learned was do NOT take the train with a fresh vaginoplasty), hotel and meals.

The big lesson learned here is that I'm going to try and finish at least a unit of my personal trainer class while I'm laid up. Last time Susan and I mostly watched daytime TV. I hate daytime TV. This time I'll be reading and relaxing. Also ordering room service once a day. The place I'm staying is supposed to have a top-notch resteraunt.

Jackie, I wish you the best on your procedure and the healing of the area. Anytime a surgeon is working down there, I consider it a big deal…Large or small!

Good Luck,

Susan R?

Thank you! I'm hoping for a better cosmetic result. The "guts" work like they're supposed to but it does NOT look great.

Well here's a snag:

My PCP sat on my paperwork for four weeks, then went on vacation. He pushed some stuff through at the last minute and... surprise, he muffed it.

I got a call from my surgeon today who informed me of the problem, but suggested an urgent care clinic could straighten me out.

Apparently, out of hospital network doctors can't do it because they don't have access to my medical records.

Urgent care centers WITHIN my hospital's network won't do it because, "They don't do that."

I ugly cried all the way home. I'm calling my PCP's office tomorrow and seeing what they're going to do about it considering I needed this taken care of by Friday at the absolute latest. You may see me on the news if I don't like their answer.

Jackie, I'm so sorry you're dealing with these crunch time issues. Your PCP is completely dropping the ball by sitting on your paperwork, and then going on vacation.

Got HALF of it squeezed out. The OTHER half that he just chose not to complete is looking like it's going to take more work. My endo has seen me recently, maybe she can take care of it but it's going to depend on the clinic and they haven't gotten back to me yet.

Jackie, I’m so sorry you are going through this.  but If I was on your jury I’d vote justifiable.

Good luck and stay our of trouble.

So it turns out that camping in the waiting room of a doctor that's being prickly is a good way to get them to do what they would have done in the first place. It's a lot harder to deny someone in person when they show up at your doorstep and say, "This is your fault. The paperwork is done. All YOU need to do is sign it."

It still took a half-hour.

Of course I didn't have any internet, so I needed to get the paperwork to the surgeon before end of day. It took two different UPS stores because the first one didn't have power. Fun fact: It costs $3 to fax three pieces of paper. I had to pay with a credit card, because my wallet was EMPTY.

It's done now though so in just under two weeks I can be in PA and getting my revision surgery. I didn't realize how much stress I was carrying. I'm better now.

Yes, it’s amazing how fast and honest people are when you face them, removing opportunity to procrastinate or lie. Good for you. I’m glad you’re doing better now.

Oh Jackie - I was thinking on how I could tune into the news as to find out which court house/jail to protest outside of for your release!

I am glad it worked out! Take it from a Nurse herself, best way to get anything done by a Doctor, it is always best to just be within earshot and within their visual field because doctors despise confrontation. As a nurse, I LOVE it!

Assuming nothing ELSE goes sideways, I'm good to go for next week. Tomorrow is my last official day of work before I go to surgery (My kiddo is done until I get back, but I was planning to work so I said I'd sub). I got the last little bit of my paperwork off to the nurse (they wanted my EKG film, not just the summary) and some antibiotics because it looks like I've got a baby UTI brewing and they want to take care of that before they stick a catheter in me.

Next week I'm OFF!
