Breast growth

The Viv Element

Recommended Posts

So I've been on HRT for the last 7 months now & my breasts are finally showing a shape I'm happy with (I know there's still more growth over the next couple months). But i'm curious, What does the inside of your breasts actually look like from Day 1 to full growth? I wanted a detailed diagram if anyone has that information available to share...

The sensitivity in certain spots has me questioning the specifics of breast growth lol for instance i can't lay on my belly/breasts without feeling some discomfort level of pain, I always knew boobs were sensitive but is it normal? I feel bad for my ex's if this is normal because I probably hurt them more than they showed ?

I'm not just over-imagining that i might have a lump in each breast am i? I'll probably get a "better safe than sorry, go for a check up" answer lol not that i don't appreciate the concern, I just don't want to freak myself or anyone else out, I'll get my breasts checked when I go on my next appointment on march 13th. But until then, is there any diagram/information any of you can share to reassure my mind? so i can perform a self-diagnosis to explain what i might be feeling in my breasts?

Thanks for reading my craziness, Love you all ❤️

I didn't necessarily find a diagram, but I did find a pretty good site that may answer some of your questions. Though, if you are concerned, speaking with a medical professional is the best. From what I understand, it's very normal to experience tenderness in your chest as you're essentially going through puberty (again), and will go away once developed.

The sensitivity is normal.  Just wait until you bonk them on a door frame!  (It WILL happen!)

The little lump, at this stage, is almost certainly the breast bud.  Much of the breast volume is just fatty tissue, but the heart of the breast is the breast tissue itself: the glandular tissue that, with the right conditions, produces milk.  It starts out as a little lump, and gradually grows to have a substantial (more or less) volume.

At three years in, my breast tissue is about three inches in diameter and about an inch thick.  It is palpable as a fairly firm mass compared to the soft, fatty tissue that surrounds it.  For comparison to overall breast size, I am a 38A.

Make that three to 6 years and it is in the actual ballpark.

As far as what the tissue looks like, imagine a pea sized, highly compressed ball of tiny string like tissue that has been in place since before you were born.  "E" is making that ball unravel and the ducts that were the tiny string are unfolding like an umbrella or even a whole strange balloon.  The strings wiggle their way into the fat tissue that is beginning to build up near them and begin to expand into thread or yarn size ducts in a more circular pattern.  At some point they may even do "trial" run on producing milk and you will end up with a clear or cloudy fluid coming from them for a while although some people do have fantasies about it happening longer, but unless a doctor is supervising it, that is potentially dangerous.

Our breast tissue tends to be pretty dense from what my medical sources tell me (including my own HMO for my mammograms that I have had 4 times by now. (The first one was scary since they did find intrusive tissue in the breast mass and had to do a biopsy on it.  -- Turned out to be benign thank heaven)  Dense means it did not spread out in the fatty part as well as it would do if we were 10 to 14 years old, but being stuck with large "B" cups is all I personally need.

I am looking for my copy of this book which I have buried, I think it does give an illustration of what you are looking for:https://www.amazon.com/Wheres-MY-Book-Transgender-Non-Conforming-ebook/dp/B018A5S6ES

I've been on E for four years and have been experiencing a growth phase recently.  The sensitivity has returned!  Be advised!   As to firmness, at my mammogram my doctor noted I had dense tissue, which is normal for early growth tissue which we have.

Well Jani, this gives me hope!  My breast growth has tapered off a bit although my breast shape has become more female with the addition to progesterone to my regimen last summer.  I’ve been on HRT 17 months and still very sore.  I’m at a B cup at present but am hoping for a C cup.  Nothing wrong with BIG dreams!

Just shy of five years now. Every so often i still get a little stirring in my boobs. I am at a C cup and still maybe having spurts so there is hope but it all takes time to sort itself out. Below I can assure you I have NOT had any work done on them. This is how they are. So there is hope. It all depends on your genetics etc. Which I cant actually work out. As my Mother wasnt that big in that department. Neither was my grandma. Maybe somewhere in the past one of my distant relatives was a Bussom barmaid or something and I got the gene. It just took the estrogen to kick it into life.

To answer a question. Yes it does hurt if you lay on them

You got that so right for the sake of pete dont bang them into anything

Yes you do get a little lump on the tips. But really is best to get it checked out if you have concerns.

Of course they are in a Bra. Remember i started late. If they wasnt in that bra they would hang down towald the floor  Thats just a fact of life

Mine i think grew exceptional but as far as i can gather the normal is an A or B cup. I think there are many factors to there presence and what you get.

I live quite a healthy lifestyle and eat a lot of non processed natural foods.A lot of fruit and veggies i think your whole system and what you put in it makes a diffrence.

No they are not bruised its just the light.

However they do have down sides as mentioned above. I cant sleep on my back. I have to be careful around solid objects at that height and i have to wear a bra most of the time. But i can live with that.

Must admit Going by what Vicky said regarding lactation. I dont recall ever doing that. But im sure it would if it needed. Im not disputing it. I just have never had it. or least never noticed it.

I am hoping this plays a big part for me as my female relatives all have large breasts.  My sister is a DDD, my mother a D, and my youngest daughter is a D.  My sister says you don't want big boobs, trust her, as it is a burden.

I realize a transwomen will follow genetically to a point but not equal their relatives.  Id be happy reaching a full C.  I am at 3 months on doctor supervised HRT but admitted previously to of been doing self medicated HRT on and off for 3 years.  I'm at a full B on the right and a large A on the left.   (I hate the lop sided "girls" but I hear its normal)

I have the extreme tenderness now and know what you mean Viv about not being able to sleep on my tummy and chest.  Sometimes even on my side if I roll to far.  Ouch.

NOTE: SM HRT was very stupid and dangerous to do without blood work or doctors supervision and I seriously do not recommend it. I could of killed myself doing so.  Please do not do this in any form.

Can’t provide a better description of the process than Vicky has already. So, I’ll share my experience so far. Just over a month for hrt for me. They’re getting tender, the buds are almost the size of my areola and fat is accumulating. I did have some mild gynecomastia at the start, but it’s definitely increasing now.

Familial results are mixed, so I think at this point, I’ll be okay if they at least take on a more feminine shape, regardless of the size. Hugs! (Loose, gentle hugs)

Thank you all!!! I feel so much better now!! I'll definitely be scheduling an appointment for an mammogram before this year ends. I knew i was just being paranoid haha, but i'm grateful for it because humanity wouldn't have gotten this far if we weren't paranoid at times ?

How often do you all take MRI's? because I've never gotten one in my life since I was born deaf and had a surgery to place a magnet on the side of my head (Cochlear implant), So MRI's are extremely dangerous for me since its a giant magnet basically. But i also know MRI's are EXTREMELY useful in detecting abnormalities, etc... so sometimes I worry that I might have some undetected issues with my body, Are there other accurate methods of getting a full body checkup that doesn't use a giant magnet?

xoxo to all ❤️

I took Maybelline's quiz https://www.maybelline.com/babelline-makeup-personality-quiz and I'm "Perfectly Practical" when it comes to makeup.    I carry three things in my makeup bag in my purse that I use any or all depending on my mood.    1) Maybelline magic eraser/concealer. Pretty much a liquid foundation/concealer in lipstick-sized package with built-in sponge applicator. It rules.    2) Maybelline mascara primer. It's the subtlest of enhancements, yet makes me feel confident in my eye communication.    3) Subtle lipstick in a natural/nude shade. Very slight enhancement that again, is mostly for how I feel.    -Timi

Welcome to the forums! Another very late starter here and still haven't made the HRT move. So, I can't help much with your questions. But, you are among friends!!

I love makeup.  Firstly, I need it to help feminize my facial features, and I'm fascinated by the way it transforms.  I love trying new techniques and new products.  I think the best thing about using and wearing makeup is that helps me feel more feminine.

I support everyone's right to say what they think, even when what they say is hurtful or hate-based.  Quite simply, those people should have that right.  However, just because I support a person's right to free speech, never means I have to agree with it.  We should never stifle free speech, but when it is hateful or hurtful we should exercise our free speech right to say how inappropriate their speech is.  The best way to fight hateful and hurtful speech is through discourse.  Sadly, our society has lost the ability to debate.    We have assumed the position that "if you don't agree with me, you must be against me."  This way of thinking prevents discourse and all the good that comes from it.

There has been discussion before on this.  Not all the TG goals are the same as the LGB+ goals. We can agree on some things, but some gays reject transgender and some transgender reject homosexuality.  I think it is a case of we can work together on some things, but there are limits.

Welcome Kati. I was 68 when I realized who I was myself. As far as hormones go, Planned Parenthood does work with trans people.  I don't think they do the therapy though. As of now, NC is an informed consent state.  You can get HRT by signing off on it. If you have a doctor or therapist that is trans friendly, it might be good to work with them.   In NC the urban areas tend to be more trans friendly, but you never know, you might get lucky.

@FelixThePickleMan your post reveals a lot of insight, but also mixed with denial. Your desire to strengthen your relationship with your mother is admirable, but it cannot be the sole motivating factor to your giving up an addictive behavior. However, your love for your mother and desire for her love will help strengthen your resolve. But that resolve needs to come from your own will. You say you smoke because you have nothing else to do and you believe you are a better person when you're high. You must come to understand that the creative and charismatic energy that drugs seem to unleash is potentially in you at all times. Make it your project to figure out how to tap into that and channel it without using drugs. Make that your thing to do. It's a challenging and exciting thing to do.    I started smoking cigarettes at age 15. In my late teens, a good friend observed that smoking was the only time she ever saw me calm. That was profound for me. It took a few more years, but eventually I had the epiphany in which I saw my life as nothing but a string of tedium in between each cigarette. It seemed so pathetic to me and that motivated me to give up smoking and learn to live life differently. My story of addiction is much longer and more entailed, but I will focus only on smoking here as it is relevant.    And as I reflect on it, I also should comment on your belief that you have to stop liking the habit before you can quit. That is not a necessary condition for one to quit. In fact, if that were so, hardly anyone would ever quit any bad habit. More accurately, you come to dislike the person you have become while in the grip of the bad, addictive habit. Not in a self-loathing kind of way, as that will not motivate you, but rather depress you. In other words, you come to a place where you are able to take a subjective view of yourself and your life and decide that you want something else, something better. And sometimes that only happens when you hit the lowest point in your life and there's nowhere to go but up. Don't let yourself get even close to that state, if you can help it - and you can help it.   Weed seems to imbue all your activity with a kind of a magical quality. This makes the world, your activities, and yourself much better with weed. But all that is an illusion. Your proof is that it's artificially invoked, only temporary, and destructive to your relationship with your mother. If I may be so bold, frankly, it is a cop out. You have the potential in you to see your life, the world, and yourself as beautiful, captivating, and wonderous without altering your mind. In fact, it is in clearing your mind that you are able to glimpse this. You want something productive to do? Develop a workout routine. Take up meditating. Learn mindfulness techniques which you can practice throughout the day. The magic is in quieting the mind and being present. There is no instant intensity like you get with weed. But you gain power within yourself, and you are the very source. Become addicted to that - that is a good addiction and you will progressively see your life and relationships in a new and brighter light.

I had a pretty serious porn addiction for awhile (thankfully broken about 12 years ago), and so my wife sees my "trans-ness" tied into that ... to her, it is all one ugly thread of sexual sin and dysfunction... sometimes, I do struggle with it, too. Is this just another branch of a sexual addiction thing? Am I looking for a substitute for the porn?   When I sift through everything it seems much deeper than that. And if anything, the HRT has lowered/changed my libido and it hasn't lowered my desire to move in a more feminine direction with dress, etc. It can be confusing, especially when you are in a very religious/moralistic environment...   To get back to the main topic, the fear of change and the unknown is huge. And like others have said, folks on the fringe of just about any cause tend to be what gets played up in the media and what folks see the most. Not many people see good ol' regular transgender people who are just trying to live their lives, hold down jobs, take care of their families, etc.

Isn't it illegal to be examining people's genitals without their consent?    Could've sworn that was some sort of law already.
