Confusion Questions

I am looking to find someone to talk to me about male to female trans.  I consider myself a Straight male but i have confusing thoughts.  I dont have anyone in my personal life to confide in regards to my feelings and its become rather frustrating.  Im not even sure if im in the right spot to ask.  I dont have much experience with the LGBTQ community.  I know given today's society it can be a sensitive topic, so i apologize in advance if I went about it in the wrong way, I dont want to disrespect anyone

You are definitely in the right place.  The best place to get acceptance love and support.  You are not alone and nothing you have to ask is to sensitive as long as it is PG rated.  We have young folks here too.

I asked some weird and confusing questions when I joined and no one will judge you or say anything that is not there to help you.

Welcome and I am glad you found us.

Hi there and welcome!

I think lots of us cautiously stuck our toes in the water at the outset.

It's okay to have confused feelings. It's okay to be unsure. It's okay to change your mind - more than once even.

Me too, Markjvp. So where do we go from here? I'm considering making contact with a counselor. I think the VA now is providing services to Trans vets. Anyone have any experience with that you would care to share?

Often I feel better en femme, so I stay home alone, dressed more or less like a girl relaxing in baggy sweats, enjoying the scent of the cologne I'm wearing, feeling more or less like something important is missing, and that I should go in pursuit of it. Other times I have the impression that it's no big deal.

Being closeted isn't terrible for me, but my attraction to the femme side seems to be increasing in intensity and time. Is that because it is a fundamental characteristic, emerging like it or not? ... Or is it fun, so I enable myself to indulge more often? A condition or an addiction?

I think my testosterone is low to non-existent (due to finesteride for prostrate?) and I don't care. However, I am very curious about the feminine emotional state produced by estrogen. It sounds a lot happier.

It would be nice to move to another town, then come out without looking grotesque, but it seems too demanding to do it here.

I could describe my conflicting thoughts and emotions until I used up all the letters on this site, I get the feeling that many of ya'll could too, and I expect they would be similar.

Oh, well. At least being in the dark about it all is interesting.

This was a question I had too.  I was t sure. Had feelings and theory’s but not sure.  Education and asking questions helped me.
Soul searching too .

The VA adheres to the most current WPATH standards. If you go to a VA healthcare facility you can either contact the LGBT facilitator directly, or go to Primary Care Mental Health and ask to be referred to a Gender Therapist.

They are caring, professional and discreet. There are some limits to what can be covered, cosmetic procedures are not covered, but counseling, HRT and all associated care including medications, endocrinology, etc. are all covered.

I am a VA client and was actually referred to this website by my VA gender therapist.
