It's only been 3 months I had two visits to a center in Philly. One was the Mazzoni they are so overbooked I was referred to the John Bell center. Two different centers two different therapists. Both I went to as Denise. The second center the first time I went they drew blood for a CBC. I had two phone calls in the last 10 days questioning me and my attitude towards going forward with transitioning. Last one was yesterday. Today I get an email from the provider I saw a John Bell telling me to review two forms about starting on HRT requiring my consent. I gave the BHC info and the provider thanked me for giving the name and number to the pharmacy in my town. Could it be possible that after I sign this consent , I'm going to start my journey. Yes reading the pros and cons ,you have to accept that, if you plan to transition into womanhood. I'm shaking on the inside while I'm writing this I just got the response back from the girl I asked her how can I sign this form it's a PDF file. Let me take a deep breath here I'll let you know what happens..

Congratulations! You're in for a bit of a ride. Enjoy it. It's wonderful.

Three months from therapist to HRT is about right. That's about what it took me to get approved and I wasn't in the greatest of health at the time. I only needed one letter of recommendation for HRT though. I got it through the same health care system that was doing my HRT and got my therapist to bark at them a little. That may have helped.

Hugs!

I am so happy for you, here all thats required is to sign a letter of implied consent to start hrt. Between my intial bloodwork and first hrt appointment it only took 3 weeks.

Yes while they wanted to talk to you to make sure you understand what's happening, this may be (if I'm correct) an Informed Consent state so it's actually simpler to proceed.

Do you have the ability to print, sign and scan the document?  If not, possibly writing a reply that you have read the attached document and agree may do the job for now.

Well , due to my current status I don't have a printer I would have to send it to somebody.yeah many know that I like to cross-dress but I don't think too many no I really want to transition. Sooner or later I'm going to start coming out to my family that I started hormone replacement therapy and I want to transition to become a woman full time. They are going to mail me out the form I'm going to sign it and mail it back to them and they said once they get the consent form signed they're going to put me on the T blockers and the estradiol. So I better strap in a hold on tight huh girls..

Everyone is different on their meds, I started off at the same doses with <some> progesterone. Now am on a max dose of injectable estriadiol no spiro, and <some> progesterone for suppository use. But I am 6 months in and did alot of research on my own.so your starting off at a normal starting point

Yes especially at first it's a real rollercoaster ride! Between the highs and lows, going from being ecstatic one minute and crying uncontrollably the next I found that every emotion that I felt just added to the affirmation that I was on my way to being the woman I was meant to be. It's a wild and fun ride so hang on tight!

Copy places or Office Depot, etc. Take the file on a stick or disc and they'll print it.

I'm very happy for you. And a bit jealous over my having to continue waiting. But I'm happy for you still. You got this gal!

Hi Denise,

Yes it is a slow journey, but worth it in oh so many ways. Enjoy the small things as they happen, even the painful ones are reminders that things are changing. We all experience moments of doubt, worries that things are not happening as fast as we want, emotional ups and downs. But everyone here experiences those and are here to support each other.have a wonderful day!

I'm currently on the ballot for an open US Representative seat in Portland Oregon.  Here are some of the news stories on me:   Rachel Lydia Rand on Ballotpedia: https://ballotpedia.org/Rachel_Rand#Campaign_themes KATU 2 (ABC) Know Your Candidates 2024: Rachel Lydia Rand https://www.katu.com/news/know-your-candidates/rachel-lydia-rand-d-congress-district-3 League of Women Voters Candidate Forum for US Representative https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOoS39CTEOw KOIN 6 Written Interview | top issues, what's going right https://www.koin.com/news/politics/rachel-rand-on-running-for-district-3-top-issues-whats-going-right/ League of Women Voter's Interview with Rachel Lydia Rand https://youtu.be/V5o9RKE3WVo     This is my third time running for US Rep.  Campaigning is very challenging for me because I only have two family members still alive and I've spent less than 2 weeks with them in my life and I have virtually no social network to start with and I don't belong to any social media sites.  I haven't even been able to post here and on sites like it because of rules about self-promotion.   I'm boldly saying in these videos that I want to be appointed to vice-president in the next 5 years.  My platform is about addressing climate change and everything that comes with it.  Population decline is the number one proposal I have and it is very, very scary and controversial for most people.  The way I see it is that oil is more than a fuel we burn in our cars, it's a substance we pave our roads with.  And it will run out, so at some point in the future, most of these roads are going to go away and we'll have a much harder time distributing food.  I play chromatic pennywhistle and I'm this iconic whistleblower politician saying that we will not be able to support 10 billion people at the end of the century on wind and solar power.  Even solar panels are made with oil and there isn't much difference between a wind turbine and a dam.  If we can build skyscrapers and nuclear power, then you'd think we'd be able to figure out how to make a wind turbine 100 years ago.  It's simply not as efficient.  The numbers I've crunched say that if we have one child for every two women for the next 40 years and then go back to normal replacement rate, we'll get our population down to 2 billion by 2099 which is where the world was at in 1950.  If we don't do that and stay on this current path for the projected 10 billion by 2100, then when oil runs out and climate change raises sea levels and floods coastal cities, humanity is going to be in a very uncivil situation.   I'm sorry that I'm not making a huge issue of transgender rights.  Of course I'm here to support our community.  I'd be highly visible on our national and international scene as a transwoman.  I tend to focus on engineering realities rather than these social issues.  It upsets me that people take engineering for granted.  People tend to just get in their cars and think that there will be some space age technical solution that will make it all OK.   OK, that's my rant for the day :-)  Coffee is on.  4:26am.  The ABC station is interviewing me again in a few hours and people can vote for me today.  Please consider spreading the word.  I'm only one person and it takes an incredible amount of effort to keep my political thinking and platform going.   Sincerely, Rachel Lydia Rand Jazz Musician | Software Engineer

"Exstatic" is an adjective that means feeling great rapture or delight. For example, "His wife gave birth to their first child, and he was ecstatic about it". Synonyms of "ecstatic" include rapturous, entranced, enthusiastic, and frenzied.

Absolutely. Being able to encourage, to help, others is so empowering. I've been helped by so many people over the years, I love being able to pay it forward.

Good morning, everyone!!   A busy day ahead for me - need to cut the grass and then pick up the clippings. The grass grows so quickly this time of year. I cut almost 7 acres so that will take up most of my day. At least I can get some sun on my legs and arms!!   Time for another cup of coffee as I catch up here.   Enjoy this beautiful day we've been given.

I started shaving my legs years ago - I started getting an occasional mild contact rash on my shins. That became my excuse to shave them for both me and my wife. Over time, the rash didn't expand...but my shaving did. Full legs....groin......chest......and finally my arms. Keeping the rash at bay was my excuse until I came out to my wife. Now I typically do a full shave on Sunday mornings. The hair is lighter but I just feel better with it gone - it helps with the dysphoria and dysmorphia. I will also typically do a chest touch-up mid week since I notice the growth more there.   I wish someone would invent a pill that would stop hair growth everywhere except on your head.

Good morning.   im not sure where the time went.  I had a decent nights sleep,  didn’t  tell Alexa to let me sleep another 5 minutes,  I didn’t do anything extra but it’s almost time to leave and I just got here.  Definitely only a one cup morning.    I have the overhead console out of the Ford. It needed some repairs with toothpicks and glue.  Been sitting all night t for the glue to harden. I’m always to impatient with glue but not this time.  I want it to hold. Ok the next owner won’t be able to change the lightbulbs however in my defense, the are led so they will likely still work when the car goes to the salvage yard.   gotta go. Not as much on my plate at work today but it’s always busy.   Willow

Yes, my programmer friends and I think that antivirus software is a virus.  It's constantly searching your system and slowing it down.  If you install your own OS and software on your machine, and you make backups of your personal files, then you can recover from viruses in an hour or two.  My computer is 10+ years old and is working as good as the first day I had it.   As long as my computer is doing what I want it to do, I don't care if someone is spying on my system.
