my pronouns are they/them

I'm 20. kinda tall. My hair is red these days. I have some plants. They live on my carpeted balcony. I'm on the second floor.

I used to frequent sites like this as teen, though usually as a silent spectator. But quarantine has left me with to much time to stew in my own thoughts, and frankly it has not been pleasant. Plus all my trans friends are AFAB and so I can only relate to a certain degree, but I think most of them have pretty different experiences from me, so I am dredging a new well in hopes of forming meaningful human contact that has some semblance of relatability. I wouldn't say I'm experiencing a crisis of identity as much as a crisis of existence.

I've been hesitant to use these services since the demographics who seem to engage with these sites tend to appear older, and I am interested in connecting with folks my age.

Currently trying to finish this semester. I'm going to an art college and losing faith in my life choices, although frankly I've kinda been corn-holed into this route. I went to this arts middle through high school so it's like, the only thing I got going. and day by day I lose the capacity to interface even with that. Umm, if you wanna see some of my work u can peep my insta. I think there's a link in my bio, but I needa double check what that looks like.

Hi Nyx, welcome to the forum. Please don't hesitate to read around and join in as you feel. You will find a wide range of people here, many being around your age group. We are not a contact site as such but, having similar issues, friendships are often made as we are a friendly crowd and like to help each other. This is a good place to explore your gender and it's relationship to your world. There are one or two artists of varying degrees and interests.

I did take a quick glance at your website address (link) which appears to work Ok with cut and paste.

Hey Nyx, Welcome to the forum!!

I am not quite your age, but close haha. I am 3 years behind you (As of the 21st) we do share the love of art. Sadly I am AFAB but I hope we can connect in other ways. You see like a really cool person and would find it cool to talk sometime. I do enjoy knowing people as people rather than their gender.

I understand the quarantine struggle, for I am an extrovert in a house of introverts. It's torture, this is my only outlet.

Also, if you love art. Take that love for art and run with it, leave no room for regrets. :)

Hi Nyx, welcome to the forum! We're glad to have you here with us ?

That piece is wild! I went to art school myself, for printmaking though I took courses in just about everything. I hear ya about losing faith in life choices. But it's hard to say I regret it. I learned a lot and met a lot of cool people.

Sick, thanks for the insight y'all. I'm currently waiting for some of my devices to charge so I can get some homework done, so I'll probably read around the sight for a minute.  Do folks who have written in a "topic" see subsiquent topic replies? If not what is the best means to like, respond so folks see it. does it have something to do with that "+ quote" button?

If you write, or follow a topic you will get updates from it. The quote button from what I know is when you want to specifically quote a sentence or few or something. But you do get notifications.

The pagan symbol for power, eternity and the infinite

May the earth be a foundation for you.

May the air teach you

May the water cleanse you

May the fire drive you.

Are you a pagan Nyx?

Depending on what rituals you go by we will accept it upside down. Thats unless you have strange ideas about goats.

Hi and welcome Nyx.

True some of us are older. But it doesn't mean we won't stop in the hall and sit on the floor with you to chat as needed on the way to class.

:)

Unfortunately this time of quarantine has left many of us to stew in our thoughts. Don't be afraid to share.

Aside from the X-Files, Gilmore Girls is easily my favorite TV show. I originally watched the original airing in the commuter lounge at my college starting in 2000 because I was embarrassed to watch it at home when I living as a man. Now that I am out and transitioned, I watch it openly and wear Gilmore Girls t-shirts at work on days that I wear a skirt. For Valentine’s Day, my wife bought me the DVD’s. Yesterday I had to stay at work late because of an IT problem (I am not IT so I just had to make sure the pump stations telemetry was functioning properly before I could leave, IT did the actual work) and so I watched it on Netflix. Lorelai Gilmore inspired me to change my name to Lorelei. Yes, I picked a more traditional spelling on the name. The mother daughter interaction between them is heartwarming and sometimes hilarious. Last week I just started rewatching it again. Ironically I relate most to Luke, very rare as I almost always relate to a female character. Anyone else here love the show?

Good morning everyone,   @Birdie continued prayers for you as they figure thing out. I'm glad you're being properly cared for.   @April Marie I love the pageantry of the Kentucky Derby the bright dresses, and fascinating hats worn by the ladies. As for the mint juleps... I'll pass, they're just to aromatic for me.  We'll be watching "The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports" as well.   @Adrianna Danielle & @awkward-yet-sweet it is amazing how a new stove seems to cook food better. Cooking for 36 people is a phenomenal task, and if you're doing it on anything less than a professional cook stove. You're preforming miracles, and I wish you the best.   My yard work is done for the day, because I don't have to wait until Saturday to do it. I'm getting use to this mostly retired situation. The windows and doors have been open since I first got up and the yard is full of bird songs. I have the best neighbors because they don't start their noisy yard work until very late morning or early afternoon.   Hugs,   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I took an involuntary swim wearing my quick dry hiking pants and shirt. Lifejacket not shown but present on the rock I am sitting on. Watson is dry now but I am still soaked. I capsized my kayak 5 feet from the shore trying to land on an island. Water in the pond was surprisingly warm considering it is early may in upstate New York.

@Birdie best of luck to you, my friend.   @MaeBe, nothing ventured, nothing gained! Good luck!

Oh I will. He loves to just sleep on the couch and sleep. Not very active at all which I'm mixed about. Less to do but also want him to do more too.

We had a German Shepheard/Lab cross! It was actually our son's dog but when he moved out, Axel stayed here. ❤️ He was soooo awesome! Totally goofy, but really smart, and a million percent lovable. Unfortunately, he didn't even get to see his fifth birthday. 😢 He did both hind knees in quick succession, which were repaired, but he re-injured one and it wasn't repairable. The grief we went through after we made that horrible decision was far worse than anything we have ever experienced before or after.    @Ashley0616, please be gentle with his joints until he is all grown up!   This pic is when he was still a puppy.

When things seemed really rocky with my wife. I had thought about moving to the PNW. WA and OR are quite LGBTQ friendly. Even interviewed for a couple jobs there.   Hugs, Kymmie

Friday night was pizza night, which is actually pretty routine here.    Tonight was a bit of a seafood fry-up. Crumbed flathead tails pan fried, crumbed scallops and chips (fries) deep fried, and a salad.   Tomorrow night will be junk food at a football game.

I was admitted upstairs for observation. The nurse last night took one look at me and said, "we need to use a FEMALE external catheter on you."   They placed a PureWick catheter over me and it's working great. If there isn't anything to connect a male catheter to it just isn't going to work.   So far I haven't passed more blood, and my abdomen does feel better. A specialist is supposed to see me today and perhaps order a colonoscopy to find out where all the blood came from.
