Hi everyone,

I'm in my late 40s. A very dear friend of mine, told me about this site. My avatar is an FaceApp experiment ? So it is me like the AI thinks I look like as a female.

My story is similar to many others, I guess. Right now, I consider myself as a TwoSpirit-like human. Always had half a male and half a female brain. I was "different" as long as I remember. Was very sensitive and dependent on the mood of others. Sometimes the female side was stronger and wanted to get her share, by crossdressing. My Twenties were filled with severe depression and social anxiety. Got help with meds and psychotherapy. Gender was not so much an issue at this time, suppressed I guess. It got back with the internet... she got a persona, had virtual relationships, nobody ever questioned, if she was female. Although I had some doubts whetber it was morally ok, I consider it not as cheating. RIght now I am at peace with being male and female, I'm actually happy to be both.

Hello Sandra, Welcome to our forum. You sound confident about your identity and accept it on some level. Often times, that is the most difficult part of our journey.  Do you have any plans or changes for your future. If you feel comfortable doing so, I’m sure many here, including myself, would enjoy reading more. Join in the fun.

Warm Regards

Susan R?

Thank you all for the warm welcome! ❤️?

@kelly sinclair both your photos look great, male and female, if you ask me! It's funny, the male part always gets a beard added :) And, yes, I think people don't question us, because we are female. As I wrote, I don't see it as hoax.

@Susan R I'm very happy right now and enjoy my new confidence. I was joking lately, that I lived in my male body for almost 50 years, so I can wear it for the rest of my life, as well. I might explore female sexuality at some point, though.

Hi Sandra_Lux,

I think those online relationships, ever so distanced, was what kept my sanity intact. As of today I have kept very few, and I’m now venturing into the real world, very slowly. This is my first step. Coming here, opening up. I can very much relate to what you are writing.

@Sandra_Lux people  keep say that to me i just cant see it  . Probably  true . My diaspora  is blocking i guess

Yeah, we're often our own worst critics. We can still see every little thing we don't like every time we look in the mirror. Sometimes it goes away, or at least lessens, on the good dysphoria days. Then BAM, it hits you like a truck on a bad day. Savor the good days. Try to work through the bad ones. One day at a time.

Hugs!

@Ella Mae I feel you. Wish you good luck. Are you taking your online relationships to the real world?

@kelly sinclair I can only say, that for me, it's more about how I think and feel. The presentation to the outside is another chapter. Like Jackie C. wrote, one day or one step at a time.

No, thinking about closing that chapter. I can’t wait to get the courage to take that first few steps on the outside of my house.

Hey Sandra!

Welcome to the forums.

I think you'll find a lot of supportive people here. We've all taken our lumps getting here.

Again, thank you all for the warm welcome.

No problem Suzanne1, I don't mind, to the contrary. I am not an native american. The two-spirit-concept appealed to me, because it gave me peace with my male body and my "split" male/female brain. I additionally like the thought, that this "third" gender was considered as healers (at least those who were born in a male body, afaik), I like to have/bring harmony to my environment. As I discovered this concept, I took comfort in the fact, that there were people like me hundreds of years before me, so I'm not that special and freaky, as I thought. I read that the two-spirits were either killed or being swept under the rug since world war 1 or 2, don't remember.
I also like it, that they were not considered gay if they had sex with another male. This helped me to accept, that my female side has different needs.

Not sure.  The perp is a minor.  The problem here is NOT transgender, the problem here is incompetent and criminal administration.  See https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/family-of-loudoun-co-student-sexually-assaulted-ineptitude-of-all-involved-is-staggering/3231725/ It is more than annoying that people think the problem here is TG and that other people think the solution is some stupid statewide law.  Like an appendectomy to deal with an ingrown toe nail.    Since Loudon, I recall a boy was asked not to use the girl's restroom at a high school by one of the girls.  He, overwhelming her with height and weight,  assaulted her, claiming he had a right to be there.   Later I think eight girls beat him severely in another girl's restroom.  Again the problem is not transgender, the problem is assaults in restrooms and common courtesy.  TG is used as a smokescreen and it seems to paralyze thought among administrators who do not want to do anything to provoke controversy.

Time to get with your Primary Care doctor and be referred to a neurologist or an orthopedist.  It could be many things, too many for any of us here to guess at.

Other than the Boy Scout motto, oath, and law. I use two:   When asked how I'm doing? In all honesty I reply. I would have to make something up to complain. If asked to explain further: I reply. I know someone is having a tougher time than I am, and I pray God blesses them.   I also recite this quote that I have tagged in my signature: Courage, doesn't always roar. Sometimes it's the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."-Unknown    Saying these things daily keep me motivated.   Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

If this goes on, I am conceding the real possibility of being stopped in WM or somewhere by a concerned citizen who tells me, "Lady, God made you female.  I don't think you should be trying to look like a man. You need to return to your true gender and be comfortable living your life out as a woman."   Begin odd and awkward conversation.  I have been thinking about this this morning.

There are many MAGA GOP types who are not transphobes, of course. Some MAGA GOP types are transgender.

I'm hoping to read the next section today.  Many of the reforms they are calling for are good, such as expediting the military procurement process, and have nothing to do with transgender issues.

Good afternoon,    I have a young friend who is vegetarian and married to a full on meat eater. They have two areas of their grill clearly designated for their different cooking requirements. When she’s cooking she uses tongs or chopsticks to handle any meats. When he’s cooking he respects her request not to cook her meals on the side where meat has been. They get along fine and respect each other.    When she attends our house, she usually brings her own food, but knows I will clean my grill to meet her requirements. We love and respect her commitment to be vegetarian. I love that she trusts me to make her comfortable when visiting us. There are ways to make it work.    Mindy🌈🐛🏳️‍⚧️🦋

I was going to call it Numbness, then I realised well.. it isn't. basically, yeah, it isn't.   this only happens to me sometimes. I'll be lying down and my legs will.. well, I guess lock?   If I straighten them out, they will unlock- when I roll over again, they will lock again. this lasts for around 10/ 15 minutes I guess   it's not pins and needles either

so, a close friend wants to cook for me   the issue is, she is a vegitarian and won't handle meat- I, on the other hand, won't handle vegetables- hate the things   every time she goes out to the shop, she comes back with something.. a cake, a fruit smoothie, a coffee, I won't eat any of it. please help me think of something that she could make for me that I'll actually eat   disclaimer: you are talking to the most pickiest eater in the world. good luck
