two electrolysis questions

Recommended Posts

I recently watched a trans woman's YouTube blog where she made a statement "do NOT do thermolsis, only galvanic". Their point was that thermo supposedly takes many more repititions to clear, and destroys collagen in the face worse.    I've had around 100 hours of thermo, and this was disturbing.  I have heard back from people who have been cleared by thermo..I have not heard back from the YouTuber when I asked them for their info to back up their strong statement.
Electrology3000 in TX is one place that advertises marathon sessions specializing in transwomen beard removal.  On their website it says they are trained in thermololsis....  I am in WI and think the closest place for this type of clearing would likely be Chicago.

Question 1:. What type of electro totally cleared your beard? (Thermo, galvanic, blend)

Question 2: can anyone tell me the "real" cost of marathon-session type places (these places usually have including numbing, etc).  What did you actually pay each time you went and had an all-day session with numbing?
Seems like nothing online posts prices without making an appt, which they're not doing now.

Obviously there is a pandemic going on.  Please no reminders of this.  Let's pretend to do research in the hopes that things open up again.  For me, and you!!
Thank you! (•‿•)

I've used thermolysis.  It takes a while even at 2 hour sessions.  I've got over 265 hours on the table at 4 years.  Until the shutdown I was just at the end of the line.  Still hoping they can reopen soon so I can be totally done by year end.

I'm not a proponent of those marathon clearing places.  I understand people use them but it would seem they could do a lot of damage to the skin.  Yes the skin is constantly regenerating but there are so many nerves and muscles in our faces for me to take that chance.  I can only imagine you would need to contact them directly to get an estimate as the density of your hair would determine how long it would take and therefore the cost.
