I'm working on it. It can record an Mp3 file onto a Mixcraft track, but it can't hear my mixer's out. I recall having this issue before.

I can't recall the fix, though.  [That's my aging six word story.] Two of them, back to back! Three! 

Try again tomorrow. My brain melted. Talk soon, in sing song, hopefully. [These six word mantras are addicting.]

Scale steps can be associated with

Names in addition to numbers, so

1 = Tonic, 2 = Supertonic

3 = Mediant, 4 = Subdominant

5 = Dominant, 6 = Sumediant

And finally, 7 = Leading Tone

 

So for example, with C scale

The dominant note (the note G)

Is also C scale's fifth note.

And the "dominant key" of C 

Is G, whose Tonic (first note)

Is the fifth note of C.

 

Later on, you might check out

"The Circle of Fifths", where you

Play a series of notes, each

A fifth apart, such as this:

C G D A E B

F# C# G# D# A# E#

(E#'s the same as F, and

The next in the series...C...

Takes you back where you started!
