how did you feel going to you hrt consult

I started using this forum around the same time I scheduled my appointment, which luckily was only a month out. I was in stealth mode up until about a month after I got on it. I was scared to present and told myself I was gonna wait until I couldn't hide it anymore. But I couldn't help it, I came out publicly in month two and started wearing dresses, skirts and makeup. I was very glad to come out, and here we are, 1.3 years later. It totally gets better with time, the acceptance and self love comes from within ?

Coming out is fun, a relief, terrifying, and ever so happy.  There are so many ups that they more than make up for the downs.  Remember when you are down it will not be long before you will  be feeling great again.

Life is too much fun to be down for long!!!

Any change can cause me great anxiety.  My journey to Dr McGins office to discuss HRT and get my first prescription was certainly filled with fear as well as hope that HRT could bring peace with my gender issues.  I'm sure that has been the case but perhaps time and honesty with others has brought even more peace.

Welcome Madison.  Glad you found us.  You might want to post in the introduction forum so more folks can get to know you.  It's great to see another Jersey Girl.
