I am sick and tired of those boxes you get when you enter information on a website.

 

The box at the bottom that says "I am not a robot"

 

Wouldnt it be easier to change the box to. "I am a robot" then us humans wouldnt have to waste our valuable time ticking them?

They should just ask you to recite the "Three Laws of Robotics."  If you can, you get a lifetime pass.

Unfortunately, even if there are less automated means to scour the internet than humans using it, they are a lot more invasive and potentially disruptive. 
So from the professional point, I would try to protect against those bots first and foremost. You might notice that almost never it fails to accept that you are not a robot, so there is some silver lining ?

And personally, I would take click over entering some cryptic text or number any day. Those captcha options are truly unbearable

I just have trouble sometimes picking out what's in the pictures.  Is that a bridge? or is it just part of a building that looks like a bridge .. ?

OH my. Those picture things can be an absolute nightmare. Click the pictures with buses in them. Or traffic lights or something so cyrptic that only well heeled grand master could. Define traffic light anyway? They differ across the globe.

Those Captcha things are annoying.  

Click on the traffic light.  Do they only mean the light part? Or the casing thing around the light? Or the post that holds it?  Is the crosswalk light considered a traffic light?  Its for pedestrians not cars.

Click on the fire hyrdrant.  Does it want every box checked that has any fragment of the fire hydrant?  

 

Unfortunately, robots have gotten too good at answering the other types of Captchas that are easier.  

It does make me wonder what the next generation will be like.  Is it going to be so hard that most humans can't answer them????
