More than a crossdresser ?

A couple weeks ago I got my first set of acrylic coffin shaped nails. I love them so much but I didn't get gel polish. I got a purple I changed to white now I just took the color off. I wear them in guy mode and in girl mode and I love the look and I'm really starting to enjoy wearing them. I really want to get them polished A nice bright red with gel but it's funny I have a stigma about red nails.

Would I be perceived as 2 much of a sissy. I got a dilemma here I think I'm more than a crossdresser. I'm going to need to fill soon next time I might get a nice red gel color or a French. I wasn't feeling it all white. What do you girls think.

I think your nails look way better than mine. I need professional help.

Honestly, I don't think 90% of guys would so much as notice your nails if you didn't draw attention to them. Men are kind of oblivious. They usually notice that you HAVE hair, but not so much that you have it styled. They realize that you're wearing clothes, but not that it's a new blouse/skirt combo that looks super cute. Unless you did something super obvious with your hands, I don't think most guys would pick up on it. Even less of a chance if your nails aren't painted.

I love the way you phrase that: "I'm... I'm more than just a crossdresser. The power... it frightens me. My female side... she's breaking free! Oh no! Run! I'm changing!" I'd buy that comic-book. Of course I've also thought that "Coming Out" stories should be called "Origin Stories" so there's probably something wrong with me.

So yeah, give me a little hint. What's the dilemma? The whole point here is doing whatever it is that makes you happy and comfortable in your own skin. If that's painted nails and dresses full-time with nothing else, that's a perfectly valid way to be. If you feel like you want HRT and/or surgery to feel more authentic, that's OK too. It's just about making yourself happy and making life a little easier to deal with.

Hugs!

I like that last comment how true that is . It's about feeling good about yourself and not worried about other people and what they think of you.

Yeah.   I thought I was just crossdressing at first.  But it didn't last long.

That Pandora's Box thing.

I have had acrylics for about the same time. While mine aren't as long. I have come to love them, and won't get rid of them. I would love to get color on mine also, but I also hate red nails, and I can't because of the stegima of it.

I'm also at point. We're im more then a crossdresser. I get things waxed, I get typical female haircuts, I spend more money on my female side. Then I do me male side. Short of being on hormones. I consider my self a woman at this point any more.

I can relate to that last statement you made. I shyed away  from red nails because I assumed them being too feminine. The next time I need  a fill my nails  will be polished a sweet Red. They are

starting to be a part of me and I love them. Tomorrow I'm going to Philly for some laser on my upper lip. Yes I'm finding myself spending more money on Denise then Dennis and I don't mind that. I guess that's what girls do. Current ombre

I have like a cranberry metalic on my toes.  Before it was very close to plum crazy purple.  Maybe if I tired like a darker red on my fingers. I might like it more. I'm more attracted to darker automotive type shades. Ones with pearl or metalic flake in them.

I bought a blue shade. That is pretty close to subaru wrc blue. So i would match my car, but didn't like it on me. After work tonight. I'm going to get some metalic bronze color, and try that.

Oooh! Subaru WRC blue. Girl after my own heart! ;) Not usually a car person, but I can certainly appreciate certain models, like a good WRC/WRX...

My "trans-age" is very, very early, still. Once I learned (from here) that nail art stickers were a thing, I ordered a couple packs and made an instinctual beeline for the most "pink" designs in the pack, no matter how adolescent!  For my toes. I'm not "out" enough for fingernail art yet (drat!), but I tossed in a base coat and top coat, and I'm still enjoying the same design here halfway into week 3 :)

Nice design and length, @Denisenj! (I have such a bad nervous habit of pressing down on the ends of my fingernails, I'd probably destroy those within the day!)

I grew up srounded by cars. My dad and his friends all in their mid 60s now. Were avid muscle cars guys. I turned 16 around the first ff movie, and played grand trismo a lot. So I was going to be in to cars no matter what.

As for breaking nails. I can't vouch for longer ones, but I have nails. That are about 1/8 or so past my tip of my fingers. In 2 months of having them. I've broken one completely off some how, and didn't notice. Then chipped a corner last week. They are strong, but fragile at the same time.

I say give them a trial run. Of at least a month or so. I say that because it takes about a week or two to get use to them, and you can decide after that. If you want to continue down that road. The picture below is what my nails look like right now. My nail tech says it's a waste not painting them a pretty color, but I cant right now. So I just get a nude base, with a mat top coat. They look feminine, but don't scream look at me.

I do love the ombre nails though. One day I'll have nails like that.

I don't think the Dems have a corner on division.  I do try to kinda keep up with the antics on Fox for 5h1+s and giggles. We have two large segments of the population, living in their own bubbles, with completely opposite views of our society, who never talk to each other, only at each other. People don't even want to get along with each other. We're tearing ourselves apart from the inside, while the rest of the world just sits back and watches.

Back again now it’s inevitable I must tell my wife for me to be happy and authentic wish me luck

Trying to decide if I am one.  Hmmm.  It depends on the definition.  The Democrats' definition dehumanizes them, whatever they are.   I would like to see a restoration of respect for America around the world, one Obama threw away.  I would like to see factories reopen whose jobs went overseas because people like BIden wrote legislation to create a tax structure than encouraged that.  I would like to see an end to the division that Biden and Obama cause and exploit for cynical political purposes.  I would like people to be able to express themselves without fear.  I would like honest news media.  I would llike to see the federal government not push us recklessly into debt.   If that makes me MAGA, I guess I am.

You've never encountered the Oklahoma State Troopers, then.... it isn't far from reality.  I swear they've got half an army of cops just sitting around.  On I-40, they've got big concrete pads where they sit in the middle of the highway, sometimes a row of 8 cars in one spot.  I guess they've got money to burn....

I fenced my posting of the link.  Yep.

Good to hear about that case, but I believe Oklahoma is in the 11th Circuit COA region along with Texas which is going to find some way to nullify this decision as far as the Oklahoma law goes, just because - - - -
    • awkward-yet-sweet
That's a Circuit (Circus) court ruling.  Which is essentially temporary.  Most everything right now is temporary, as the Supreme Court hasn't gotten around to dealing with all the various trans-related issues from the last few years.  I really, really wish they would just bite the bullet and do their thing.  It would save us from the constant tug-of-war. "The sky is falling!".... "No it isn't.".... "But there's crap coming down."....."It landed east of here"  Whether it ends up being good or bad, I wish they'd just lance the boil and let us either have a tyranny we can fight against or a republic we don't mind living in.  Mediocrity is irritating.

I'm sure there are some...there's just about every kind of person imaginable in our society.  And I suspect that a number of actual GOP politicians aren't really haters...it just happens to be convenient to go along.  Like most Germans in the early 20th century weren't actually anti-Semitic.  It was just that it didn't matter to them.    While I'm not friends with any politicians (well, other than local ones), the majority of folks around me aren't anti-trans.  And one of my two trans friends is a Trump supporter, with hat and all.  My other friend is a Democrat, and the three of us actually get along even when we talk politics.  Life is interesting.

This suggests some of the problematic policies would be unenforceable if implementation were attempted.    https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true

You can believe what you want.  But there are such.  That should not scare you.  I wonder why it does.
    • Davie
I don't believe it. I've never heard of such a thing. That would scare me.
    • Davie
Yay for this . . . it overrides state laws. 4th Circuit Court says: Gender Identity Is A Protected Characteristic, Blocks State Coverage Bans. In a landmark ruling, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that gender identity is a protected characteristic, and that Medicaid bans on treatments for gender dysphoria are unconstitutional. https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/4th-circuit-gender-identity-is-a?publication_id=994764&post_id=144139815&isFreemail=true&r=rebf4&triedRedirect=true

I would challenge him next time about where is being transgender a fatal sin. The only thing he has about giving into fleshy desires. Another thing you can hit at does the Bible cover intersex people? Bible to me stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. You could also challenge him as to how many times has the Bible been edited.  You could challenge him on what music, movies, podcasts and tv shows and how they give glory to God. I challenged my mom, and she had nothing to say other than I know I'm right being defensive.
