Google Browser disaapointment

I'm sure most of you are used to the almost constantly changing Google browser celebrating events and people throughout the year, but I have to say I was really disappointed with them this morning when I logged on.

They are "honouring" Transgender Awareness Week, but if your Chrome browser is not maximised the chances are you will not see the celebratory link because it is tiny and hidden at the very bottom of the screen.

They could so easily have just had the trans colours across the Goggle banner with the link in there and this would have been a great chance to raise awareness, but it feels like they are putting the smallest, least noticeable effort into something they can claim as being positive at a future date..

I just loaded my desktop to take a quick look. Depending on your settings, it could look small I guess. I saw it right off the bat but they could’ve added some of those colors to their logo. Some promotion of awareness is better than none but it’s not going to change the world...that’s for sure.

My desktop has it like this Susan, and I have not customised my browser other than my colour theme, but I seem to have frequently used shortcut icons in mine.

Yeah, mine too. I didn't notice until @DeeDeepointed it out to me with this post. As much as Google does event art, I don't think it would have killed them to at least make the Google logo into something trans-colored and pretty.

I hope they do something this week. The weird and insignificant things I've seen them change up their logo for have made me think they celebrate any old made up thing. Then to just have a tiny flag and link for Transgender Awareness Week? Extremely disappointing and concerning.
