Absolutely. First my "man-smell" started diminishing. That continued for about... oh, six months or so at which point my spouse reported, "You don't smell like you anymore."

My smell continued to diminish until I smelled faintly of vanilla. What you smell of may vary. My spouse has her own smell, but I wouldn't describe it as vanilla. It's just her.

Disclaimer: My sense of smell was strong before. I could tell you when my wife was about to start her cycle dependent on how she smelled and tasted when we kissed. I did not realize this was a super-power until we were well into our relationship. My wife was irregular. I could have saved her much hardship had I known. With great power comes great responsibility.

My sense of smell is actually stronger now. I have no idea how to apply my gift to fighting crime, but I can tell if somebody in the gym has had chocolate or fast food before they come in.

Hugs!

Which part?

Naturally as your endocrine system adjusts to its new fuel, you're going to produce a different smell. Men do not smell like women (thank the Goddess). I mean if women smelled like men, I'd have to become ace and I like adult fun-time way too much to be satisfied with that. To be clear, I find the way men smell to be really gross. I cannot imagine putting my lips on one. Ew.

Your mileage may vary dependent on the personal aroma and grooming habits of your man. I can say there's a guy at the gym who can offend my nose at about twice the recommended social distancing range and I find it absolutely repulsive. Other men are less gross, but still do not smell attractive to me.

The bonus super-sense is pretty cool though. I mean sure when I walk through the kitchen, I smell open containers of everything. On the other hand, it's revealed nuances of smell and taste that I couldn't experience before and I appreciate the various notes in foods both familiar and novel.

I find the experience exhilarating, but that's me.

Oh, you'll get both but it'll happen on its own time table. Estrogen makes the sensory bulbs in your brain larger and more developed. This will make your sense of smell stronger. It'll also tell your endocrine system to start smelling like a girl. Both things will happen according to their own time table.

Older gals tend to take longer to see results than younger women.

Male puberty didn't hit me as hard as it may have hit some others. I consider this a blessing. However that means that despite my age, I'll be a little ahead of the curve in some areas. Also, I like smelling faintly of vanilla. It's like the spice I don't get to cook with enough. It's a good smell for me and I reinforce it with my hygiene products. It's always vanilla or lavender and I trend towards the vanilla when possible.

Sheena, not long after being on the T blocker, I noticed a reduction of noise in my head along with a better sense of smell and improved color perception. Welcome to the other side.

Hugs,

Mike

I noticed I smelled different around a month or two. I have also noticed that my bed room doesn't stink like a locker room any longer. On a negative side. My smell down below has changed, and if I have been busy, hot, or haven't showered in a day. The smell while not as pungent, it still stinks.

Hi Sally, okay I'll head on over to your post and check out your makeup techniques.

Hey all,   It's been a while, but I blogged a whole series on makeup.  It's an eight-part series where I talk about my techniques.   Here is the link to Part 1:       Hopefully the blog series is helpful.

Oh, I can relate to that one Vicky, leaving lipstick in hot weather  I've lost count how many times I had to purchase new purses.

Thanks for the replies, as an admin from my own group I understand the same rules, agreed.

I do spoken word acting, and give Trans 101 talks and other public speaking.  I wear make-up for those occasions.  Sephora is easy for me to get to, and has a foundation that does a good job for me and the sales folks there are Trans Friendly.  Their eye shadow pallets are also fun to use. Another source of my foundation is Ulta which carries Dermablend that does a consistent job of my lower face and chin.   I just use good old Revlon lipsticks because I ruin them by leaving my purse in the hot car too often.

I'm not interested in makeup, jewelry or nice clothes or girly stuff.  It's made me wonder at times.   It saves some money.  If I wore a skirt it would likely  be denim.  I thought about a woman's skirt suit but nah.   Neither of my sisters are into that stuff either.  One likes peasant chic (still a 60s flower girl)  and the other - the only time she has ever worn a dress was at her wedding.  Jeans at all other times.   Jeans and t shirt here.  Content being a girl.  Weirdo. Weirda? Never mind.

@Ladypcnj Before posting links to other group's websites, PM one of the Staff (preferably an Admin) and have them check that site out.   We have specific rules here regarding age appropriateness and would need to know that the other site is in line with those rules.  We do have members here between 13 and 18 and other sites need to be safe for that age range, legally and otherwise.  Also, we are not a dating or pick-up site, not do we allow people selling things to advertise here.  As I said clear the link with a moderator or admin before posting it.  Mod's and admins do check out posts and if we find problem links we will remove them and notify the OP of a rules violation.  Go to https://www.transgenderpulse.com/community-rules to understand where we are.

I raise my hand in the group, I have a question and a suggestion... is it allowed to share other new lgbtq+ website links here?
    • Ladypcnj
Yeah, ELF is a good brand, another brand is Revlon ColorStay last 24 hours.

I really don't think that's a good idea. The unity of the LGB and T community is historic and has been central for both groups rights. And the vast majority of people advocating for splitting the two are transphobic LGB's who are broadly condemned by the community anyway.
