How do I address this?

I sorta have a issue, but not a big issue with my name. Mostly around my inner circle. They all knew me before I transitioned, and most only see me as a male for now. So I'm OK with them calling me by my brith name.

 

I did notice when I told one friend. She was so excited she gets to call me Lauren. She asked when she can call me it. I told her to use her judgment, and most of my friends if they get to see Lauren. They will call me by that. Which kinda confuses me, and I think it dose them too. 

 

I'm just wondering if I should have them calling me Lauren now. As it can be a male name, or just go with the flow. As im comfortable with them calling me by my birth name when I'm male, and they seem to be ok calling me Lauren when I am Lauren.

If it was me, I’d want them to start right away if you’re planning on transitioning. If you’re comfortable with it, why not?

I plan on doing it asap. As my life has changed. I think they call me my bitrh name because I'm presenting as a man. My wax lady hasn't seen the male me since June, and she calls me by my female name. 

 

I also think its because where I'm at when I see them. They all own salons, and im typically the only male in it. I think they don't want to embarrasses me. Well at this point with long pink nails. I doubt it will bother me.

I'm still guilty of using my old name. Friends mix up James and Tamsyn. They are trying, but even I get mixed up so cant moan. Today someone was calling me in one of our depots. Tamsyn, Tamsyn, Tamsyn. James! I'm hoping it settles in and feels natural soon

That is what im kind of running in to also. I easily could could have added a A to the end of my name, and would been easier for every one, but my male name could be spelt so many different ways. same go's for the female name, and it was never right. I decided to go with a simple female name. That would have been hard to mess up.
