Perhaps a few others will go this way now.  I see good coming out of it potentially, even if neither of the two Trans children who could want to take part in sports in the state and any bit stiff competition.  (There are probably more than two Trans kids, but it would not be a huge number anyway.)

Thank goodness for a logical intervention. The knee jerk reactions to a non-issue are troubling. Even if it is "worry over lawsuits" and likely a fear that college recruitment may be effected. Simply the idea that they will run a study is excellent, as there are few to no incidents where a transgender person had a particular advantage on the youth level, and once people start to understand how hormones work, the advantages melt away (literally) as a person reaches adulthood.

Especially because it has absolutely nothing to do with the bill in question, and is patently false in every conceivable way... So there's that...

Ah, over here we call that a dog-whistle. That's what far-far right politicians say to "virtue signal" to their base that they're still, "fighting the good fight against anything that isn't cis/het relationships as their god intended." It's disgusting and a real problem over here. Their messaging has devolved to the point where, "Members of the other party is upset at what I said. That means I win."

It has more to do with the Culture War than sports

I wish Arkansas would follow their lead. They just passed the third law in about two weeks. They are going after medical as well as sports. Somebody opened up the "Hate" valve. I am getting GCS soon in Kansas City, but wondering if I will be able to get medical care in my own state.
