how do I make dysphoria be less overwhelming?

I’ve had a crap ton of dysphoria lately, and it never seems to go away. If I so much as look down at my body, I feel terrible, and it gets even worse when people misgender me (which is pretty common). How can I alleviate my dysphoria a little?

I am afraid to do this, but do you have a Therapist or a support group?  Those are the best ways I have found, but absent, is a mantra that I have used and taught.  Look at your eyes in the mirror and say "I have to be the way I am in order to BECOME the BEST ME in the days ahead!"  You admit that what you  see is the building material for what is to come and not something that is finished and there to depress you.  A lump of clay needs to be a gray lump on a potters wheel to become a beautiful piece of ceramic ware.   Take life a day at a time, no more and you will find they pass quicker than you think.

I have days like that too. In the past I found Trevor chat very helpful. Otherwise I will just talk to someone about it, usually my therapist but there are a few friends I have, including on here, where I can vent and get support. I also have some pictures of myself where I look very fem and nice, so I will look at those and feel better. It's a tough mental game, part of the reason we are trans is because we have dysphoria, so it is about managing it, and some days are better than others. Like Vicky said, it's really a test of time and patience. My patience has been tried a lot, but I manage to calm down and get a realistic view of my progress and what to expect.
