How do I lessen period dysphoria?

I always get really bad cramps during my period, and it makes it hard to get my mind off of it. The dysphoria gets really bad, and I don’t know how to get it to stop. It gets so bad that I usually just curl up and cry. Does anyone have any tips to make this a little less bad?

Well let me start off by saying- I can definitely relate especially the curling up and crying part. ? I have some ideas that MAY help keep in mind I'm a teen so I'm not experienced and I don't have any weird remedies but I can help shred some knowledge that I've learned ever since dealing with that problem. For the cramps using a heating pad on your abdomen area. If you don't have one you can buy some at CVS or Walgreens or you could boil a cloth in hot water while checking it doesn't fuse with the pot. DON'T put it in the microwave it burns the towel.  I've tried and.. my mom was furious. ? For the dysphoria.. I'm not so quick to answer there.. I struggle with extreme dysphoria as well. I can only suggest maybe watching TV or YouTube with some LGBTQIA+ icons you admire that usually helps me out. But, I'm not you so, I can't guarantee that'll work. Wearing loose clothes and covering mirrors can help too if you haven't transitioned or if you have. If you have then I suppose wear what makes you happy and have a sick day maybe have some hot foods like tea and soup. If you get hot flashes use a ice pack for a bit and if you get cold have a blanket by you at all times. Call some LGBTQIA+ friends too and let them cheer you up. ? Having a day out helps too but while following guidelines of course.. That's all I can really recommend but I hope this advice helps in some way.
